Does this just change the appearance of the world, or does the show’s logic apply, too?
Because we could turn the world to Pokémon and achieve two birds with one stone. Three birds, actually, because that way I could also become a Pokémon Coordinator!

If Pokémon logic applied to our world, wouldn't it be in a constant state of chaos? 10yr. olds would run around a world full of powerful monsters trying to attack one another. Not to mention, there are some terrifying first Pokémon who have some pretty horrific powers. Aww...what the heck. I could use a Totodile. IS SO CUTE.

I mean, bad stuff does happen in the Pokémon world. There’s all these super villain groups, and every now & then a primordial god wakes up and goes on a rampage. But those super villain groups are usually dealt with with no real damage, those primordial gods are surprisingly easy to pacify, and there hasn’t been a war (as for as I know) for at least several hundred years. Not to mention it’s world that’s safe enough that those aforementioned 10 year olds can go on a cross-country journey with little to no fear of being kidnapped and/or killed. All this goes doubly for the anime, which compared to the games & manga is definitely the calmest. Plus I want a Mawile!

You're right. And if the 10yr. old does die, they're reserected minutes later. But wait- what would we eat of all creatures are Pokémon?! I DON'T WANNA BE A VEGAN!!! *weeps*

Edited by The First Aifos: 11/18/2020 7:28:30 PMWell, I’m already a vegetarian, so that’s not a big deal for me.. Although, being resurrected as a Phantump doesn’t sound fun.:

Okay, so maybe the world shouldn't utilize Pokémon's logic... Just have everything look like it? BUT I WANT TOTODILE!!! Maybe I'll sacrifice my meat-accocitated foods for a world of non-lethal adventure.
-
Wait.. You wouldn’t eat a Tepig, but you’d eat something that looks exactly like a Tepig? That doesn’t make sense to me.. In any case, though, the people in the Pokémon world do eat meat, so you wouldn’t have to give it up. We definitely need it to be the actual Pokémon world, though! I want to meet Bea!

Edited by LordVocem: 11/18/2020 10:37:32 PMI thought Pokémon were sort of sentient, like the dragons in How to Train Your Dragon. There's a lot of quotes where people say Pokémon are equal with humans and should be treated as such. So... yep. I don't wanna eat anything like that. HOWEVER. If a Tepig has the same mental quality as an earthly pig, then... bacon. And it's a fire type, so it's meat would probably be already cooked! ... EDIT: Probably not the most brightest/courteous idea... talking about eating meat in front of a vegan.
-
I guess it all depends on perspective. I don’t see tge dragons in HTTYD any different than my cat. I’d personally say both statements are probably true; a Tepig does have some degree of sentience, but so does a normal pig.
EDIT: Probably not the most brightest/courteous idea... talking about eating meat in front of a vegan.
Pffft, nah, I don’t care in the slightest, mon amie. As long as you don’t start telling me to start eating meat again, I don’t mind at all.
-
Ah- defiantly wouldn't advise anyone start eating meat. Especially since it's not the healthiest choice (except maybe fish...). It's like pastries, it taste good, but we really shouldn't eat it. *sigh* Bloody Americans and our bacon-topped glazed donuts. Why cruel world? Why.
-
Meat, in the right amounts, is plenty healthy. It can also be perfectly healthy cutting it out. Really, no matter what you eat, it’s just a matter of eating responsibly!
-
*sniffs* Okay.
-
Why are you sniffing..? >.>
