I’ve always enjoyed replaying missions, remembering the experiences I had during those missions. I always love going back to Destiny 1 to replay missions, specifically the Regicide is my favorite. But I’ve been sorely missing that since the launch of Curse of Osiris, and with some of the best missions as of the past expansions, I’ve been missing the system more and more. Sure we’ve had daily rotating missions, both in Daily Heroic Missions and them sometimes taking place corresponding to the patrol space the DLC takes place on (Ex. Shadowkeep missions on the moon)... But they’ve recently removed the Daily Heroic Missions, and while some DLC missions are replayable, some aren’t. Specifically as of recently, the Beyond Light missions are a great example. I loved Darkness’s Doorstep and The Kell of Darkness, but I can’t replay those... So my solution, which I think could be fun for lore and replayability: a timeline. Sounds weird, but let me explain. It would be a separate tab in the main tabs (Ex. Destinations, Maps, Quests, Etc.) that would show everything that has happened since our Guardian’s “rebirth”. For veteran players, that could show all the way from Destiny 1 up until current. And for New Light players, it shows context of what happened from the beginning of Destiny 1, but since they didn’t do it themselves it would make it sound that way. To clarify, only AFTER a mission/important part of the story was completed by you would it show on the timeline. However, once each year ends (Ex. Every major expansion release) it automatically adds to your timeline of what missions or events happened over the year (if you haven’t already completed. I know it sounds a bit basic at first, but I think that it could be nice. Not really any FOMO to it, just a timeline showing what’s up in the Destiny universe. Maybe you could even click on them to see the missions/events, and they also show relevant lore entry’s found in game that relate to it. Just throwing another idea out there. I thought this would be good for all players alike, whether it’s to remember the past, or for new players so that they can be up to date and understand the state of the game (story wise at least).
