How are you going to take away 11 maps, and not add any with the new expansion? Albeit the game is more focused on PvE, it slowly ruins the replayability factor of PvP.
Also why are they taking away Meltdown but keeping the fortress?
-
That's so they can re-release those 11 maps with small tweaks and then try to call them "new content". See that rock that used to be on the left side of the hallway...now it's on the right side..."new content". Re-issue/Reskin/Re-release/Recycle/Reuse (The 5Rs) is Bungies mantra, they even have a plaque of it in there offices.
-
Because they are removing mars...not the EDZ.
-
Why make new when you can throw in D1 maps and call it fresh? Bungie logic
-
making content is hard man. really hard. just give them a break, let them sit at their home they shouldn't require to do any work for us.
-
0 new PVP maps. "Major expansion"? 🤔
-
There should be multiple maps and strikes added every SEASON, let alone added in expansions. Bungie is so incredibly incompetent.
-
One strike, less exotics, no pvp maps = dlc is the same price as forsaken
-
Small indie studio bro. They don't even make money on DLC because game is "free" to play
-
Lol crucible is trash and so easy it’s gonna be even worse with beyond light, any noob can play crucible now and get decent
-
Bungie is so lazy. I'm so glad I'm finished with this game now!
-
I sit in my chair upside-down, all maps are new when you play upside-down

Edited by Knox Knox: 10/29/2020 7:29:24 AMThey are restructuring everything about the game. Including some of their business practices. They figured out that more and more innocent New Light gamers are buying piles of dung from Evervese with real money. So based on these statistics, they are planning to roll out new PvP maps via Eververse for you to buy with real money. Welcome to the new Destiny 2.2! Bungie Logic! Oh, and while you're at it, buy some Magic Cards and some cool Finishers with real money from the Evwrverse store as well. Your guns will be useless, so you'll need to use some Magic Cards and kick/chop Finisher combos to kill Alien Enemies. Works against Guardians as well. It's gonna be the new Meta, like OP! But Crucible would be congested with everyone turning everyone into OLAFs, so guns won't be an issue either. Darkness is OLAF! Bungie Logic!

It's almost like Bungie WANTED their game to be PvE and don't actually care about PvP that much...
-
crazy, its almost as if this game is a PvE looter shooter mmo with a PvP gamemode, don't really remember it being the other way around
-
They dont make money from pvp. I love how they finally realized that after like 6 years lol..
-
No new weapon refresh on vendor either. Bungie is lazy AF
-
deal with it i hope they take all of PVP away

The A side gives full view of heavy spawn and easier/quicker access to B objective. It the preferred side to begin on and it is easy to trap people in C. Spawns could be looked at.

Do we know that for certain...or is it just speculation? And by that I mean do we know we aren’t getting any new pvp maps?
-
As a mostly pvp player I feel upset there taking so much away without adding anything new. Unless it’s a surprise for us????? I really hope there is more maps being added..
-
Stop crying and go play fortnite

You don't run the risk of re-releasing half-baked content if you don't release any content at all. https://i.imgflip.com/1l877g.jpg

Eh, I guess it sucks? If the plan is to bring back D1 maps I'm all for that. I enjoyed D1 maps much more than D2. In the short term, I'm gonna PVP regardless of the reduction in maps.
-
The main focus on Destiny is pve the lore and the endgame of pve. Crusible is not. It's just a separate mode just so players can have a small pvp experience. So it's normal for an expansion to be focused on pve. And yes it's a major expansion. If you think it's not just because they won't add any maps you're part of the problem. Less crusible the better. 👍

Judging by the replies it seems the only people who still play destiny are pve free to play and bungie apologist that would buy dog crap from bungie. The new supers made me worried about pvp then once they announced the amount of new maps I decided to movie on. Bungie given up save yourself. Pvp is the only fun thing to play in a game that gets minimal content. I guess halo plays did used to play the campaign repeatedly so maybe bungie onto something.

Crucible is pvp, it’s considered free to play. So I assume it will get new maps sometime after beyond light.
