Quick play is such a stacked sweat fest it sadly needs a freelance option.
Absolutely sad really.....

I play nothing but control and am sorry to say I never get stacked teams consistently🤨 1 out of 10 is maybe against a clan, I love playing stacked teams 🥰 it makes it difficult and fun.. people need to stop crying and just take it when they get beat heavily or if they beat people easily.. you need variety in quick play 💪 Titan life 👊

1. 5 man stack my team; 100-13 win 2. 3man non clan team them, my side had a 2man non clan; 150-137 loss. 3. 5man stack and a 2man team; loading in to match over. No play. 4. 3man clan my side; loaded in to match in progress losing 6-25 with 7 mins remaining; ended at 92-27 loss. Match 1 was control, 2-4 classic mix. It’s a complete shit show!
-
First match right now. Control; 5 man clan stack on my side, 2 man clan on other. We won 100-13, and literally ran circles around map... So Much Fun 🙄

Its quickplay, idk why you care about matching teams. Either dont take it seriously or play rumble.

Edited by JazzyPaladin477: 10/26/2020 11:15:46 AMBut then where would the ego farmers go?
-
this is a must. may stop a lot of the no mercy matches
-
Agree ! If they add Freelance in quickplay I’m gonna farm trash in control and up my Kd !

Edited by Puma Kane: 10/26/2020 1:34:56 PMPeople say "it's just quickplay," but stack to go in there and we all know why. Bring Freelance to quickplay, Bungie.
-
So here is the thing and before i continue let me be clear i am with you on your idea. The population of this game is not high enough to have freelance on just about all playlists. The 1st month of an expansion sure but once players start leaving ( like they always do) we will start to run into some even worse matchmaking issues than we already have. I wish they would just implement something in QP that would match stacks vs stacks more often. When i run with my stack we match a stack maybe once in 30 matches man. I would say 50% of those games are vs full solo squads which we mercy and while i like winning that is bullshit and gets boring fast. Then when i play solo im on the other end of the spectrum. There is no balance in this games pvp at the moment.
-
Would love it and play twice what i do now, maybe more.
-
Agreed. This crap sucks.
-
But then what would all the players who live by their KD would do? They can’t play CoD, PUBG, Valorant, Apex, or even fortnite! Leave them their only satisfaction to farm the little ego they have left! Sarcasms aside, I find hilarious that bungie’s matchmaking system is totally unable to put a 6 stack vs another 6 stacks. Must be way too difficult to code for bungie.
-
Just quit the game when it starts if you see a 6 stack. They are not as prevalent as you think.
-
Absolutely. Tired of the clan stomp fest.
-
We need freelance for everything. Gambit is the next obvious one IMO. I keep getting put up against 4 stacks over and over and over. I'm just trying to get my weekly bounties done.
-
This would require effort out of Bungie so it is a no go.
-
Don’t mind going against teams...a week ago I went against a team of 5 all running sweet business’s...we got cornholed. Sadly the blue berries didn’t understand how to counter the weapon.
-
Unnecessary. 9 times out of 10 when I run into a clan in QP, they get absolutely rolled. Some of you guys need to stop crying about your opponents so much and git gud. People come here crying, acting like they're facing god tier opponents in every match when in reality, you're facing average skilled players.

Edited by an Ape with a d2 addiction: 10/25/2020 10:13:55 PMDown the slippery slope of making a sub-optimal matchmaker experience we go.
-
Or, instead of making the odds of every group of two casual friends matching a six stack skyrocket, perhaps it would he better for the matchmaking algorithm to account for stacked teams...
-
You mean the mode they tried in D1 and died the moment it came out? Yeah
-
Its quick play man, why do people take it seriously. Who really cares if people play together in it.
-
Freelance isn't going to help your chances of winning. CBMM is a stark reminder of how unforgiving matchmaking can be. It doesn't matter how well you play if matchmaking stacks the cards against you. I'm not throwing shade at anyone, but CBMM really does remind me that there are people who are in fact terrible at PvP all things considered. Often times it's just because they don't care about being good. And that's okay. Playing PvP games as a solo non-dedicated player and expecting a good time winning is silly.
-
Iron Banner is the only place where this happens consistently, so I can see that ask. You’ll rarely see a significant stack in QP in my experience though.
-
I dont want freelance because in destiny 1 that mode was pretty much dead. It should just be team based match making.
-
The funny thing is often times it seems like there's alot more casuals in comp than in quickplay
