unable to claim rewards from previous season
I recently learned you were able to claim rewards from previous seasons if you purchased the season pass, however I was unable to do so despite purchasing Shadowkeep with the associated season at the time (season of dawn) I am not even sure Bungie can retroactively address issues with season passes.

You can only collect the last season's rewards if you earned them. Unfortunately, Season of Dawn was the Season before that, so you're unable to retrieve those rewards.
