Character Migration Bug?

I'm not getting any migrated character data in D2 from D1. And before anyone asks, YES, I DID qualify for the migration (my characters existed a good year before the migration date). When D2 was installing, it even asked me if it wanted me to migrate my character data, but when it finished installing, it didn't have any migrated data. I'm so confused. (Its not letting me post this in the D2 forums, so I'm posting it here...) [spoiler]Moderator edit: This thread has been updated with tags that are more appropriate. Just some information about your two characters so you can understand why the Veterancy Import didn't bring them in. The date of the cutoff point when the Veterancy Import took place was August 1st, 2017. The requirement was that the character was at level 20 and to have completed the Black Garden story mission (the final main mission of the base game campaign). Your level 40 Hunter didn't complete the Black Garden story mission until August 29th, 2017. Your level 25 Warlock was created and boosted on September 7th, 2017, which is after the date in which the data was stored for Veterancy Import. That character also did not play any missions whatsoever after the creation mission so did not complete the Black Garden story mission. With the requirements stated above, neither of your characters were eligible for the veterancy import. - Just so you know, the only things that came with the characters were entirely cosmetic, both the gameplay aspect and visuals. Veteran characters have some slightly changed dialog with some of the NPCs in D2 that doesn't affect gameplay. Veteran characters also received some emblems befitting milestones they reached in D1, which also doesn't affect gameplay. Veteran characters were imported with their physical looks, which doesn't affect gameplay. There was also a little slideshow story of your milestones, Black and White comic-style, showing who you completed those milestones with. No weapons, equipment, or other such game-altering things came with the Veterancy Import, so you're not missing out on anything that would actually affect your gameplay if you re-create your characters as they looked in D1.

  • Hey there! The migration has happened on August, 2017. For a character’s game progression to be recognized in Destiny 2, your character had to be at least level 20 and have not been deleted when migration was happening. Any characters created or game progress made after August 1, 2017 will not be shown in Destiny 2. If you do not see your characters in Destiny 2, you unfortunately did not qualify.
