Remove free to play.
It's ruined this game and made it two things: a cheater's paradise, and a hypermonetized hamster wheel.

I feel you on this im an older gen x gamer who warned everybody I could of the slippery slope of micro transaction and dlc content 2 generations ago with boone heeding my warnings. We've gone from waiting 2 or 3 years for a complete game that was less bug infected to as we have now where you pay 60 to 80 dollars for a game then pay another 300 dollars to have the privilege of dealing with game crashing bugs and maybe getting a couple hours of content. But in the end we only have ourselves to blame because we're still here emptying our wallets, year after year, dlc after dlc, ever verse purchase ect.

Pvp daily numbers are 300-400k Remove f2p, it would be at all time lows. They cant have that.

It's exactly what I'm saying since the first day it became f2p We were just fine and from the moment it became f2p you see with time more casuals noobs and crybaby's demanding things... Like blch shut up. And unfortunately because they are the biggest part of the community rn they're words spread faster They literally ruined the game. They should not be allowed to have an opinion. And my God why just why players who pay and dedicate countless hours in the game must share the same things with them? For example I'm going to pay for BL why the f2p can have access on Europa? No keep it exclusive for the people that paid. It's what other studios do for they're games. You want something a content pay for it.

2 RepliesWow only one free to play post most go. No one believed me when I said destiny 2 is going free to play and it’s going to make the micro transactions is going to be bad. Did any of you believe me. No. Pay no mind to the guy sitting on the corners holding the end is near sign. With it going free to play that was bungies excuse for doing what they have been doing lately as well since they split from there only financial backer known as activison. It’s only going to get worse: Those who refuse to see the light are those who are helping put the nails in the coffin and doing a huge disservice to the game and the destiny community. Youtubers and streamers don’t help and bungie pandering to them.

4 RepliesI don’t mind F2P being offered for the base game. Any paid expansion that occurred after the release of the base game should have a price tag. F2P should only allow players into the QP playlists. No Comp, IB, or Trials access.

They will never do it. Theyre trying to appeal to the type of crowd who are used to playing grindy generic mobile games, and who dont mind making 3 or 4 store purchases a month to get a quick fix of easy loot.

People should travel back in time and give feedback that they won’t stand for intrusive microtransactions instead of saying, “meh, it’s only cosmetics” Maybe instead of calling people who were giving feedback “poor” and “entitled” they could have opened their fecking eyes to see how it would impact the quality of the game.

I'm happy it's free to play. I purchased D1 and all the content up to date. But won't buy shit from them again. I do like playing the pvp from time to time. But the grind in this game isn't worth playing it anymore. The story and content has been terrible the past couple years to. As long as it's free to play. I'll play pvp off and on. Once they charge I'll delete.

If they removed f2p the player base would drop of hardcore. F2p is the only thing keeping this game alive because it sure as hell isn't quality content.

I truly believe Destiny would have been in a way better state. Making a game ftp just encourages developers to find alternate sources of income.

They just need to add Beyond Light (or whatever annual content it is that year) required for trials play. Thats what they did with Destiny 1 crucible is you need RoI to play the main pvp modes and trials. I think the fact that the game is F2P is fine, base game at least. Theres more positives then negatives. But they do need to lock trials behind some sort of paywall. Plus if Bungie starts banning its now the cheaters own money.

5 RepliesHalo: MCC Edition is a paid game, and there are hacks for it. Call of Duty is a paid game, and there are hacks for each installment. Doom 2016 is a paid game, and there are hacks for it. Overwatch is a paid game, and there are hacks for it. Rainbow 6 Siege is a paid game, and there are hacks for it. Making the game free to play didn't cause hackers, they've always been in the gaming industry. Making the game paid won't get rid of them. They're already dropping hundreds of dollars for decently coded trainers. And if you want to try to claim PC made the hacking worse, sure, maybe it has, but you can easily jailbreak or cfw flash a Console, use modded controllers, or any number of other methods to hack. Might be harder or more time consuming, but it can be done. The monetized hamster wheel is another story, but let's be real, let's be honest, let's be real honest. Rather or not the game became paid again wouldn't get rid of the hypermonetized situation. The annual pass started during Season of the Forge, right? That was almost 2 years ago. Even if you want to bundle the pass with the DLC, the DLCs still cost money. The base cost of Beyond Light is 40 bucks, with the pass costing an additional 10 bucks. Shadowkeep, which had the pass included at base, was 35 bucks, so excluding the pass Shadowkeep was 25 bucks. That's a 60% increase at base. Even if you want to use the 35 amount, that's still a 14% increase. Eververse was introduced October 2015, so it's not new either as it was in the game, and was introduced into Destiny 2 around Curse of Osiris, which was a paid DLC. I'll now return the floor to you so you can make any counter arguments.

Either make all of pvp locked for ftp players or only lock trials and comp for them. That way at least the players who don’t cheat can still play some pvp if they want.

NOOOOOOOOOO! Because then I won't be able to play in November. If they remove F2P then they will lose a lot of players. I refuse to give Bungie a dime for the trash that this game has become but I will log in sometime in November to see what they have done.
