I’ll descend into the depths after the missile.
“Haven’t gone swimming in a bit...”
English
-
note:how to get his attention, mention an UwU
You descend into the slowly darkening water, with your vision steadily being obscured.
-
“Can’t have that, let’s see what’s going on.” I channel the power of Soul within me, and radiate intense white light around me.
-
It cuts through the miasma with no issue, and clearly illuminates the path of pollution from the missiles spiral into the depths.
-
“Ahh, much better. Let’s see where you went now, shall we?” I’ll follow the trail.
-
You arrive at the bottom of the bay, near the missile crash site. You can clearly see the rather small sized missile casing, small because as a nuke, shown by the radioactive sign on the side, it’s on the smallish side.
-
“Well well well, what do we have here? Looks like someone tried to throw a dirty bomb our way...” I’ll inspect the casing further.
-
The casing has a large panel missing from the side, and seems to be the source of the pollution.
-
“What you have brought me today? Amazon delivers odder things than I remember...” I chuckle and inspect the inside.
-
You spot a large chunk of some metal...it seems to be interacting with the water, and corrupting it. The shape is...you’d have to bring it into the light to be sure.
-
“Hold on one second bucko, you can’t take my water!” I put my hands together, weaving Grey energy. As I cast a spell though, it crackles and fades. I chuckle, and try again, this time harnessing the power of Soul to create a dome of hard light to block out the water above, attempting to create an air pocket down here.
-
The air pocket rises into being, and the corruption now fully exposed in the middle of corrupting, flows back into the core...A demented cartoon-like cat head of an unknown metal....
-
I extend my hands for a few moments to make the dome last without concentration for a bit, then inspect this metal. “Alright, time for your checkup. Say ahhh, please.” My hand glows white as I inspect this anomaly.
-
A few tendrils of the metal’s dark and corrupted energies prod against your dome, and hands, then retreat.
-
“Hmmmmm” My other hand channels the power of Null, but it’s clear that it’s not as powerful as my other hand. With this dark grasp, I try to pick up the metal.
-
You pick it up, but it REALLY doesn’t like you.
-
“Someone’s picky! Open wide now, please?” I try and bend the metal, using the what little Deep power I have left.
-
The piece is one solid lump of...whatever it is. There is a schematic on the inside of the casing.
-
I’ll check out the schematic, and look for any words on the inside to see what language they are, and thus possibly the origin.
-
It just lists the payload, in megatons,... 0.5... and the core material...”UwUtanium?”
-
I start laughing, and put the cat head down. “Damn, the shit you find in offtopic these days. ‘UwUtanium’?” I can’t contain myself, and laugh as I sit on top of the missile.
-
actually laughing you are, or just Zbruh?
The missile creaks.
-
Both of us actually
“Alright, gotta get back to business. Now see here, mister cat head, I don’t like you corrupting this water. It’s not really great, and I need you outta here. But, I don’t wanna relocate you. It’s too much work. So, I’ll just make this barrier permanent. It’s showtime” I begin weaving the strands of Soul tighter, forming a sphere that goes into the bottom of the bay to contain this metal.
-
The metal tries to push against the barrier, but fails.
-
“And the final touches...” With the barrier formed, I intone the permanence ritual.
-
It successfully holds, at the moment. But the sheer fallout and pollution might erode it in the next few thousand years. It seems this Bomb wasn’t made for casualties, but to infect and consume.
