Blaze walks up to the hospital, making sure his sunglasses are close to his face.

An attendant walks over to you, and you notice there are quite a few posters and signs around asking visitors to please disarm themselves before passing through the entry hall. “Hello, are you here for the investigation? Applicants should head to the admins office. It’s down the hall, first elevator on your left. On the fifth floor, take a left, and it’ll be the double doors at the end of the hall. Thank you!”
-
“Alright. Anywhere I should put this?” Blaze holds up his revolver.
-
“There are a few lockers over here, and don’t worry, they’re free. Thank you for following our no weapons policy!” The attendant gestures to an adjacent room filled with lockers. Each has a keypad, and it’s obvious that this room is highly monitored.
-
Blaze locks up his revolver and cane, before following the instructions from before.
-
At the end of the last hall are the double doors she spoke of. Each has half of a large golden butterfly symbol.
-
Blaze opens them and walks inside.
-
Inside is a neat and clean waiting room, with a desk at the front. A secretary sits behind a computer here, busily typing away at her keyboard. Behind her and to the left is another door, presumably to the administrator’s office.
-
Blaze walks up to the secretary. “Hello, I’m here to apply for the ad that was put out.”
-
“Ah, you’re the first! Miss Izuma is on a call but should be free shortly, I’ll tell her you’re here. Can I have your name, please?” She starts typing away again.
-
“Oh, uh Blaze Lightningglove.”
-
“Thank you misterrrr oh, you’re a knight! My apologies sir, go right in.” She presses a button, and you hear the sound of the admins door unlocking.
-
Blaze walks in. “Thank you!”
-
“You’re welcome, sir” Inside is a rather large and clean office room. Massive windows occupy the far side, spanning the entire length of the room, and covering from floor to ceiling. Behind the glass you can see what looks like fields, presumably a pocket dimension. Izu is walking back and forth behind her desk, talking on the phone. She notices you, and quickly finishes her call. “Yes, I’ll make sure of it. Yes, I’ll be safe. Thanks mom, I love you.” She hangs up, and takes a seat. In front of her desk are two chairs, and she motions for you to take one. “Bonjour monsieur Blaze! You are applying for the investigation, correct?”
-
Blaze sits in the chair, smiling. “Oh hey. And yeah, I’m here to apply for the investigation.”
-
“Well, that means I can be straight with you.” Izu hands you a dossier. “I think you’d be good for the job, but you should know what we’re dealing with.”
I’ll send the dossier in pms, just to keep it secure.
-
Blaze reads it and grimaces. “This certainly doesn’t seem good.”
-
“I’m afraid not. I don’t have the knights at my disposal like grandma, so I had to get freelancers.”
-
“Hm. Well, I’d be glad to help with this.”
-
"Thanks Blaze, it's not a very.. great... job, but someone's gotta get to the bottom of this."
-
“Yeah. I might as well do it. Plus it might be a little fun looking for a lead.”
-
"As long as you take this seriously, I don't mind at all if you have a little fun." Izuma chuckles, and turns her computer monitor to face you. The wounded count rises by one. "Whatever this... disease? I don't know what it is, but it's still out there. I'm hoping to have a team by tonight to sort this out."
-
“Alright, whenever I’m needed, I’ll make sure to be there!”
-
"Merci monsieur Blaze, and I encourage you to take a look around the hospital if you have free time. My grandma first made this during the apocalypse to help orphaned children, and it's stood the test of time!"
-
“Alright! I’ll....just make sure to wear sunglasses. Don’t know how much a vampire is wanted around children.”
-
"Well, let's just say if you tried to bite one, you'd be paralyzed near instantly. The defense systems here are rather... rough, but anything to keep the kids safe!"
