Title.
People paid for glows, invested time into grinding those armor sets. There’s no gd way that loot should be made irrelevant.....ever. Same with the spring event armor and their ornaments. We deserve better. Do better in showing you give two shits ffs. You found time to update the cash shop and make a Battle pass, FIND TIME to give us back what we paid for.
Edit: oh god I just read the twab again. 7 Trials wins? That’s what you guys have been taking about?!!!😳 no glow for me.
Edit: I’m talking armor and glows from previous years. Idk why people keep commenting those things are ornaments....they aren’t.
Last edit:
I honestly didn’t know anybody else cared about this. I absolutely do not hate this game (even if I say I do lul). I want to play but god it pisses me off sometimes how bungie does these things.
Someone($) holding them back from their full potential. And not giving devs the proper feedback. And that someone($) needs new lower position(s). At this point it’s not even just about this post, its about all the batshit backwards crazy stuff stacking up.
I hate seeing in the game ramp up to be something epic.....and then hard stop drop to rock bottom like it does. Let the TTK and forsaken teams do their thing! They do some amazing shit dude.
Edited by BlitzWolf69: 8/8/2020 10:09:26 PMHow about a petition to make end-of-the-year content and events like Festival of the Lost just fun? First off, I legit sat here for a few minutes trying to remember the name of the Halloween event because I just could not remember the name. Wow.. My level of care is below nine-thousand, let me tell ya. Secondly. why do we have to go through such an extensive, tedious list of chores for an aesthetic? Shouldn't it just be something along the lines of, "Just go do whatever you want. Have fun. Basic experience will level-up your special gear from green, to blue, to purple. It's whatever. Go have fun playing however you want!" Wouldn't that be more enticing? To go play whatever you wanted and you will level-up some basic-b***h gear over the course of gaining experience as long as you have the items equipped. Now, if we're talking about masterworking the gear then, sure, have a special set of tasks that must be completed for the player to get the masterwork benefit. But, still, it should focus on fun. Fun for fun's sake. Not some try-hard PvP or PvE anything. It's the end of the year! It's gear that won't really matter after a few weeks, anyways. Things like, "Complete five Nightfall: Ordeal runs" and "Complete fifteen games in Crucible" and "Complete one dungeon" and stuff that's not super difficult to do. Just let your players play how they want to. I cannot, for the life of me, understand why Bungie thinks dictating everything every player does, even during pointless events like this, is a way to keep players playing. Last year, I just didn't do it. I did it for the first year on all three characters. The gear, the glows, were completely useless immediately. Second year? Same hot garbage. Couldn't bring myself to do it. I didn't make a single piece on any character even a blue. This year? Not gonna do it. I'll check out some stuff but I'm not doing another list of chores for gear that won't mean anything a few weeks later. And if they're all ornaments this year? That'd be even worse. Lastly, the glows. Why not have a set of each element you can unlock in the specific event for the SoH? Doing the EAZ thing is where you can unlock the pieces of glow when you're opening chests at the end. Bungie could still put a different set of glows in Eververse, if they really wanted to... Haha! I'm just kidding, of course they would. But have one that can be bought and one that can be earned. The players who blindly dump mommy and daddy's money into this game will still buy those glows so Bungie wouldn't lose anything. This would simply give those of us who refuse to buy a single thing from Eververse, at least anymore, something to play and earn during the event. You know, the event that should be fun and just "who cares, whatever" since it's end-of-the-year content anyways? Yeah, that one.

Why the hell didnt they turned last years solstice armor/ornaments into universal ornaments. Who makes these decisions in bungie ? That guy is absolute dumbass
-
Semper Fidelis
just a game - old
easy: cancel pre-order/do not pre-order -
Better yet let's make it so once you obtain a piece of armor, that skin is added to your collection.
-
I remember the grind/reward last year and swore I would never do that again. So many hours to get armor fully upgraded & now you have to win trials and some non-matchmade “champion” activities on top of that?. This game is on a death spiral of mediocrity and seems like Bungie does things to annoy its players rather than make things just really fun. If you forgot about last year’s pointless grind try to remember. IT WAS TERRIBLE
-
Lmao they prolly wont do it cuz they plan on reusing last years armor next year ahyuck
-
there making it a universal ornament. It comes with the glow already. It costs 6k bd or 1500 silver.
-
Still waiting for a full transmog instead of just eververse and year one activity sets
-
I am still waiting for them to turn all the armor in our collections into ornaments, but that sure as hell did not happen yet. We cannot reacquire random gear and they are not UO yet, so remind me the point of Collections. Everything in Destiny seems to be thrown together with minimal thought. SOH 2020 is a pure example of that as usual.

Edited by tactlock: 8/9/2020 6:03:43 PMI’m finally just... okay with this crap. I spent 3 years complaining on these forums in hopes that others would join me and help make a difference. Instead, most people told me I was stupid and poor. I tried to help people understand that Bungie would do shady crap in order to monetize everything and keep selling us back old stuff. My only real complaint was that the game would suffer because of Bungie’s greed. Most people just told me I was stupid and poor. So, whatevs. I’m at peace with it. I’ll be playing whatever free version is available and spend $0 instead of $60-100 each year. It’s a fun game and definitely worth the price of $0, especially if you’re okay just playing casually. For those that want this to be their hobby game... I feel bad for ya, and I hope shit gets better. Edit: fixed an embarrassing grammar error 😬
-
I thought I remembered Bungie saying that any legendary armor you have in your collections will be made into ornaments when Beyond Light comes out. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I could’ve sworn Luke Smith said that in the reveal stream. Either that or he said something about transmog. I don’t really remember.
-
yeah, like this is going to work...
-
$45 for the new glow ornaments on 3 characters, no way is that nonsense worth it.
-
People still play this?
-
Thank you for bringing attention to this. Open your eyes guys, Solstice is an annual cash grab.
-
Be nice if they listed to the people who continually play the game and not the ones that show up for 1 or 2 months after the launch then -blam!- about the content....stop the ability to power level and people might have to work for something in the game. But I agree this needs to be done
-
Wait I thought they said they were going to do that to begin with? Didn’t they take ownership and said they would make this right?
-
Who cares? Bungie certainly don’t
-
Why would anyone bother? Stop playing destiny now and you might be able to look back fondly at some point
-
1) bungie doesn’t care about your petitions... 2) I’m doing that stupid grind this year. I already have 3 sets with glow in the vault from last year they are completely useless.
-
Give up these petitions. They never work. This is the third year of Solstice armor and every year there is an outcry about farming armor for nothing and every year they say "we respect your time" and do the same thing. The ornaments will be applicable to all armor, so I'll get that far. I don't give two shits about a glow so... However, save your armor in your vault in case transmog(coming at some unsaid point in y4) requires that you have the armor on hand... IF you like the looks of it. I personally don't.
-
Hello.... I just popped in here to drop an invisible turd... and.. there we go. Its right here --->

AlphaHydrae8
I don't care. - old
Yea I'd love for the glows that I worked hard on last year to still work... -
Lol imagine wasting hours of your day grinding armor that will be obsolete in a year I feel bad for the fools that did it
