Bungie at this point should realize there are a 3 distinctive kinds of players. 1. Explorers who do the planet quests and strikes 2. Raiders who do the dungeons 3. Full time Pvp'ers Quests should have paths for all three types of players to complete

  • What about those of us that do all of the above? How "distinctive" is that?

  • Exactly .... this is so obvious I can understand how Bungie can’t follow your simple advice.

  • You realize there are some of us that do all of that right?

  • Yes it does and it should and will not be taken seriously.

  • Why is that?

  • Because "some" is not the majority. Bungie should not be forcing players to do an activity that only "some" do. Bungie should change this quest step to one of the following: 1. Reset your valor once. 2. Win 10 games in PvP (Comp and Trials count as two points).

  • "Three distinctive types of players" While I agree with your other options, I still pointed out the fallacy due to OP's statement.

  • No, they should make people venture into new areas they don’t usually explore. You can’t just cater this game to anyone and everyone.

  • That’s ridiculous. There’s no reason to force people into areas of the game they do not enjoy. It’s a game not a job. When Bungie starts paying me to be a punching bag for sweaty no life basement dwelling neck beardsI might consider going into the game modes they occupy. Until then, it’s a game and I’m only doing the parts I enjoy.

  • I love how anyone who isn't good at pvp immediately calls those who are neckbeard basement dweller nerds, yet pvp players don't harass pve players and people who solo raids, you've done every raid but you don't see any pvp mains calling you a neckbeard goop nerd, don't be an arse

  • You misread that friend. I specified no game modes or players. I do however see people who think they’re good at pvp constantly abusing pve players when PVE players point out that they don’t want to play competitive pvp and just want a casual relaxed experience in pvp when they’re forced to play the mode.

  • Well what do expect a free handout? No ones forcing you to go into trials. It is simply a requirement for a vanity item. No gameplay advantage.

  • They should do that but honestly instead of slowly trying to inch you out of your comfort zone for example asking to play a little comp or play a bit of quickplay they are asking you to jump into the most sweaty competitive mode and get 7 wins. It doesn't sound too bad but then for most people it will become inaccessible either due to skill constraints or social constraints. Maybe if they asked you to just do a few games of Trial win or lose it wouldn't matter then it would be a bit better honestly.

  • Honestly that’s better. Make it so its 10 games of trials but wins count as double or something similar. But then people would just kill themselves for 10 games straight so did they really earn it. Just think it could be much, much worse like going flawless.

  • Killing themselves wouldn't really do any harm since it would just let others get free wins and would actually just lower their overall stats. Honestly it should have remained at a valor reset.

Yes, therefore normal PvP Playlists exist. Where even noobs and PVE'ers can get their Bounties done and have some chill matches. Forcing the majority of all D2 Players to participate in the Sweatfest that is Trials, played by only the top 10% of all players is just nonsense. A Trials SEAL exists already. There is literally no reason to add Trial Activity for another SEAL. + The game doesn't have an Anti Cheat system yet. Trials is a cheater fest. So how do you expect the average player to acomplish this Triumph. Either he is very lucky and finds 2 random people to carry him or he pays for Carries. At this point it wouldn't surprise me if Bungie got a share from all the carrie services, which is why the keep forcing average people to play this shit fest called Trials, and which is why there is no anti cheat system. hmmm...
