Don't read that wrong, swords are good right now, but I don't think all the perks are good. Here are the three perks that I think need to be buffed on swords.
Swordmaster's Guard - This perk is found in the second column with all the guard options and increases the charge rate of a sword for slightly lowered defenses. However, this perk is really not worth using, as the charge increase is negligible when performing an optimal Boss DPS cycle, especially with the newest mod for swords being available. The charge rate should increase even more, but also tank the stats a little more.
Energy Transfer - I find this only to be good with Warlocks, for if you are blocking you are probably trying to get out of danger, and thus the class ability energy gained can be used for a healing rift. I think this perk should be completely reworked to compete with the other perks found in its slot, most notably Relentless Strikes. Instead of refunding class ability energy, it should refund sword charge.
Counterattack - There is no circumstance during Boss DPS in which this is better than Whirlwind Blade and Flash Counter is generally more useful that Counterattack as well due to bosses tendencies to slam, but this is an easy fix. Simply make the window between the start of the block and damage taken to proc the perk longer and make it more consistent with melees. Some may think that Counterattack triggering on melees in addition to other damage would make Flash Counter irrelevant due to it only triggering on melees, but that perk does more things than Counterattack, so the difference is balanced.
