I have a love hate relationship with dark siders 3
It was really mediocre, yet I platnumed it and played through on the hardest difficulty/new game pluse
I don't know why I love the game so much, when all I can think about us reasons to hate it

I stopped at Gluttony myself. I really wanted to love it, but man it just wasn’t good...

Gluttony was a terrible boss, and I can't say it gets better after him either Not to mention the designs for all the sins really... Sucked, imo. Like some work (greed and wrath) while others just straight up make no sense (like lust and envy)

Like some work (greed and wrath) while others just straight up make no sense (like lust and envy)
That’s probably because ( former comic book artist ) Joe Madureira didn’t work on Darksiders 3. He is mostly responsible for the visual aesthetic of the series. After THQ and Vigil Games shut down, he founded his own game studio, Airship Sydicate, and Darksiders 3 was made by Gunfire Games. I know he re-designed Fury for Darksiders 3, to make her less of a sex object, and make her more of a Warrior ( his original design for her in the comic he wrote showed a lot more skin ), but I think that was the full extent of his work on the game. There are a lot of talented artist out there that can mimic his art style, but they lack his imagination. Interestingly enough, Darksiders Genesis is made by Airship Syndicate. So the two studios are friendly enough to share the Darksiders IP. Airship Syndicate and Gunfire Games are made up of ex Vigil Games staff, albeit both studios are much smaller than Vigil Games was.

Yeah I definitely noticed a difference when I checked out the other two games. It does genuinely feel like the art team is trying to mimic something rather then innovate

Gotta disagree with you on designs. That was the one thing this game got right, imo; these are probably my favorite incarnation of the sins, ever.

Agree to disagree then, fair enough
