Buy it.

Don’t buy it.

Since it came out I’ve been kind of interested, but I’ve always had other games I’ve been doing. It looks pretty good still, and I was thinking of getting it now. I want to get y’all’s opinion on it first though so can you reply with three things for me? 1. A 1-10 rating of the game in your opinion. 2. Your favorite part about the game. 3. Your least favorite part, maybe a flaw or something.

Definitely get it if you enjoy competitive games that require teamwork. 1. I give it an 8 or 9 in it's current state, it's a fantastic game. 2. On the surface, it may seem like a fairly simple moba like game, but once you actually delve into the mechanics and nuances of each characters abilities, cooldowns, and how they interact with other characters abilities in different scenarios whether it be your enemies or your teammates, it is actually very complex. It's this dynamic of Overwatch's heroes that I find so incredibly intriguing and addictive to play, and it's so unique that it keeps bringing me back, even when I do get bored. These heroes are all so varied in gameplay that you would be doing yourself a disservice to only stick to one. The constant updates are also very nice, as it keeps the game fresh and shifts that character dynamic to be even more varied, especially with the new ban system they implemented this season. I also like how you can earn every single item just by playing the game, but I'm rambling at this point. 3. The lack of progression is kind of disappointing, with how great most other aspects of this game are, it kind of sucks to not have things to work towards, other than cosmetic skins and rank in comp. All there really is in terms of progression is getting your 3 lootboxes each week from the arcade playlist, grinding out normal levels to get more lootboxes, then building up your ranking in the competitive playlist. Fortunately, this is almost made up for with the drive to get better as a player, and to learn the ins and outs of each character to become a chameleon of sorts when it comes to hero variety. Regardless, it would still be nice to see the implementation of challenges or something like that to enhance that feeling of progression. All in all, I absolutely recommend this game if you are into that competitive, teamwork required, moba like gaming experience. Even if you aren't into that, quick play can be fun to play as well, but personally I think the game shines more in the competitive environment.
