Freelance mode would've gotten more guardians into the crucible. Just my thought on the matter.
-
There are too many crucible playlists as it is. I don’t think adding a freelance version of everything would help. Consolidating the playlist would be better.
-
No lol. Most teams just casually play and talk about random sh*t. Do you honestly think every team is actually putting all their efforts and designing strats just for a qp match ? Besides it would increase matchmaking time and be more annoying than anything for everybody (especially 2 friends that just wants to play together) Sorry but if you get crushed in every pvp match it comes from you and nothing else.
-
When you say all it makes me think of you wanting freelance rumble
-
Yeah not trying to wait 15 minutes for a game just because people can’t handle going against teams, which most of the time, are just friends casually playing and not the reason you lost.
-
Bungie's only mindset when it comes to D2 is "you will play with friends". They hate solo players. I'm willing to bet that Freelance got so much resistance from the devs, but keeping that playerbase up took priority. Gotta have the most people spending in the Eververse...
Freelance mode would've gotten more guardians into the crucible. Just my thought on the matter.
But in different playlists, which defeats the point of increasing the population altogether...
-
You’d have to significantly reduce the amount of playlists in the game otherwise you’d spread the player population too thin.
-
Forced freelance and losses not mattering would have gotten the whole community to play every pvp mode. But being treated like dirt for even trying turns people off real quick. In other words being treated like a loser for even trying is a good way to drive away any player base. Games are meant to be fun not for competitions.

Edited by Mr Fats: 4/9/2020 10:06:26 AMand gambit only exception should be trials, or maybe just a freelance trials just for token with no cards It will have an impact on player population distribution though and MM times.

just have fireteam matchmaking a feature from old halos also replace control with classic mix

Edited by an Ape with a d2 addiction: 4/9/2020 8:18:40 AMSplit player pools, split matchmaking pools; longer queue times, worse p2p connections; worse player experience reduces player pools, rinse and repeat.
