Having to do a quest to get iron banner gear makes me not want to play iron banner
Seriously awful design. Let me get in get some loot and then do a quest if I want more. I dont know what's so hard about that

I finished the quest on one character. I don’t want to do it on my other two. It wasn’t that bad, but using weapons I don’t normally use in pvp is not fun for me. Doing it once was enough. To me Iron Banner was just fine in D1. No quest, just bounties to do and weapons and armor that rotated each time IB came around. I used to look forward to IB every time in D1. Now I can do without it. I’m only playing this time to get higher level gear/weapons for infusion.

I’m not too upset with the quest. I mean, doing it on thee characters and getting a shit bow, that may seem bad, but I got 21 cores out of it :D

It’s the only thing that keeps me in IB is the quest.

Get Kinetic Weapon Kills Get Energy Weapon Kills Get Primary Weapon Kills Get Special Weapon Kills Get Super Kills Capture Zones You get loot for playing the game mode - to be able to hand in the extra tokens, it sort of makes sense, especially when enhanced armor perks are part of the loot pool, but the fact that they restrict the loadouts, and handed out a ritual bow as part of a quest that didn't involve bow usage is what gets me. Every other ritual weapon has been related to their weapon type, but to unlock the Point of the Stag you had to get Hand Cannon, SMG and Fusion Rifle kills, and then you're given the "ritual weapon" before needing to use Bows to get... 10... kills to finish the rest of the quest to be able to hand in tokens

I don't mind a quest to unlock specific loot, but a quest to just let me turn in tokens? It's stupid. The quest should exist to get the ritual weapon or other specific loot.

7 RepliesThe worst for me are SMGs. I don't like them. At all. I have decent ones (Recluse, Risk Runner, Seventh Seraph Vy-7) but nope, don't like them. I get that the quest is there to 'mix things up' but I didn't want to use an SMG in PvP before the quest step and I certainly don't want to use one after it.

Yeah the gear is not worth the grind... its disgusting same as the power level its not worth the grind anymore because ut will just get taken away... they should hsve kept the basis artifacts from D1 the D2 ones waste if time getting bored if the game now

I share your pain bro, to finish "cast in iron" should be enough, but then there's another step, I have Iron banner tokens from last season still and my progress started over on the quest so i had to start over again, still holding iron banner tokens. I'm not good at pvp so it takes me longer to finish these steps

Yeah a little painful but not a big deal! Doing the bounties was worthwhile for me so no complaints from me.

The annoying part of the quests is using the specified weapons. Doing general things such as ability kill or zones captured are decent things that could be in a quest

If you’re doing the 4 bounties for pinnacle gear then the quest is irrelevant other than you have to get a small amount of kills with certain weapons. Other than that, you’ll finish the quest by the time you finish the bounties Honestly though, you shouldn’t be barred from turning in tokens until you finish the quest, that’s bad design. People who don’t for some reason want to do the bounties or quest should still be able to participate and turn in tokens after

Its not that bad You need to complete 15 matches for the quest and at most is should take no more than 20 matches to get all the pinnacle gear
