Hi there, I'm wondering anybody has fixes to whatever the hell is happening.
I've just recently got Destiny 2, cause I just learned it was free now for who knows how long. Now from what it seems, is that the error "problem reading game content" only happens when entering the European Deadzone. I don't know if the area is too large for my computer to handle or what. When I've tested out the game in Crucible, everything went smoothly as it could, no errors.
Now as for trying to resolve the solution myself, I've tried:
-finding steam_appid.txt but I don't have it in the first place
-reinstalling the game
-reinstalling steam
-verifying integrity
-verifying integrity while deleting every file in "Local Files" except for packages
-backing up the game, reinstalling, and then verifying integrity
-moving Steam to the save drive as the game
-etc, etc.
I....am at my wits end. Please help. I just want to get into D2, but I suppose if it's not fixable, then it's just not meant to be ;-; Thanks for any suggestions and such. I'm just going to cry in a corner while I wait...

1 ReplyHi there, Thanks for reaching out. We are currently investigating this issue. Some players report they have fixed this issue by following these steps: 1. In the Steam Games library, right click Destiny 2 and go to Properties. 2. Click Local Files then Browse Local Files to open your Destiny 2 directory. 3. Remove all files in this folder EXCEPT "Packages." 4. Then verify the integrity of Destiny 2 game files. Some have also reported that swapping to a different language and swapping back helps.
