No, you need to go to the store screen to redeem the engram. If it went to your postmaster you will need to claim it from there before you can do the above.
The youtube video I provided on my initial post shows my step by step when claiming the Luminous Engram.
From claiming it from the Season tab, to going to Store tab and claiming it there, and even checking my Collections tab. None of it shows that I got anything.
So if anyone from Bungie could help, that'll be greatly appreciated.
