A purely hypothetical idea for how factions should be done
Here is my idea for factions
- add all the basic loot to the vendors like it was in destiny 1
- how rep would work the more points you personally gain for your faction the more loot shall be unlocked for you at the faction vendor (armor sets, ships, ghosts, sparrows, shaders, guns of course) so only those who engage with the activities shall gain rewards using these rewards in faction activities shall give you a larger amount of points compared to those who do not
- pledging allying with a faction shall put the symbol of the faction agaisnt your name
- faction rallies as an event going on in the background across a month or whole season like Emperyan Foundation which you can do faction activities and bounties to gain points for your faction if you choose
- faction activities such as faction control for example, crucible with three teams (Nm, Do and Fwc) of three players each competing for thier faction the winner adds points to thier faction brinign them closer to victory or faction strikes each player shall be chosen from the factions one from each and they shall be competing to who gains the most points in said strike
- now heres were we bring in the winnings, whichever faction wins a winning armor set (not just a reskin) with glows and such shall be available for all who pledged to that faction and a pinnacle or ritual weapon based around the faction
Just some ideas for how factions could be done right in D2
