Its a legit MMO RPG and what I would want for Destiny but people would shit themselves if Destiny was like ESO. Very VERY good game and there is a SHIT TON to do. Even the base game without any DLCs... there is a SHIT TON to do. Im not kidding. Imagine a ton of SHIT but then add 5 more TONs on top of that. But be prepared to fork over some money if you wanna look cool and to customize your house. The reason I dont play it is due to personal reasons. If Im not there for the beginning, which I was but left😭, I cant constantly play it. I regret leaving and not sticking through it like I did with Destiny.

  • is ESO Plus worth it? Besides increased experience and progression are the "exclusive items and deals" worth it? Because it appears you're just paying a slightly lesser price for premium cosmetics - looking at the monthly allotment of crowns vs price of crowns. the base game is $20 with the first dlc and I see they have another dlc that's $30. I don't want eso to be tied to the dlc so if I ever don't continue it then I lose out on the dlc.

Up to you. The way I see it is you are planning on staying with the game because you enjoy it then yeah but if you do not plan on staying with it then no. Id try it out for a bit, play the base game and see if you enjoy it enough to stick with it. I believe they also have a 7 day free trials for ESO Plus so you can try that out if you want.

  • thanks for all the help. I have one last question. If I get the base game ($20) and try one month of ESO plus and end up sticking around would paying for a years worth of ESO plus be the same thing, but cheaper than buying all the dlcs ($50) and continuing ESO plus? I was reading some old threads from a year ago where someone said to preorder elsweyr and pay for eso+ but it seems like that's a waste because eso+ gets you all the dlcs. Or am I missing something?

ESO Plus gets you all DLCs not Chapters. Chapters are the BIG content drops that are essentially a new game on top of the base game. DLCs are the smaller content drops such the Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood, etc. So far ESO has only has 3 Chapters... Morrowind, Summerset, and Elsweyr. A 4th one is coming in June called Greymoar. So if you buy ESO ($20) you are getting the base game but not any of the Chapters listed above unless you buy them separately.

  • If I were you I wouldnt get ESO plus right away because you may not know if its something you want to stick with. It can be overwhelming because there is so much to do and explore but like I said up to you. Hope you like it😁

  • https://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en-us/guides/esoplusguide This should hopefully clear some stuff up. Its shows you everything you get with ESO PLUS. If you try the free trial just know that you do not get the free 1659 crowns.

  • screw microtransactions, are there good looking armor/weapons just by playing? Sort of like destiny 2 bright dust cosmetics before bungie went full r***** after their split?

  • They also have a full on customization station. What I mean by that is you can use the appearance of any armor or weapon you have acquired without actually having to have it equipped. So essentially the armor ornaments we have no but for ALL armor and weapons in game. This isnt Destiny though. Its not super simplified but also not overly complicated. Its however you want it to be which is what makes ESO really cool and unique. You play at your own pace. You wanna go full hardcore? You 100% can but be prepared to grind You wanna relax and explore? You 100% can. Plus you have a SHIT ton of Elder Scrolls lore learn if you are interested in that type of genre. All classes and races are different. Certain races are better for certain builds/roles. Example: If you wanna play a Tank build you may wanna go with Nord or Orc due to their racial passives. Or you wanna play a sneaky assassin? Go with a Khajit! Stamina DPS build? Go with Redguard! But in the end you get to play how you want!

store usually sells full set motifs for armor. ESO has the ability to gift crown store(premium store) items to other players, so there is an entire economy that you can buy premium items from people with the disposable income for in game currency. you can theoretically get all premium content for no real money, you're just going to be spending a massive amount of gold.

  • that's cool. Bungie would never do something like that in this recycle-fest.

  • Oh yeah. There is definitely cool looking armor that you get by just playing but the store also has a lot.
