Nerfs to bottom tree dawnblade weren't needed, just revert them

Its popularity was so low, as well as win rate and kda, there were much better subclasses in the game and some of them are still untouched It was a tree focused only on its super and now the super isn't even worth, revert the changes or buff the neutral game This has been said even before the nerfs but ofc it got ignored The speed's "Controversial change" killed the super even more and bungie totally knew it, that's ridicolous

Attunement of Flame needs a rework. It has nothing going for it except tracking and extended duration on the Super. Fated for the Flame should give you the ability to ignite and weaken (defense debuff) enemies damaged by your abilities. The Flame Streaks it creates during the Super should linger like Voidwall Grenade. Everlasting Fire should grant faster Grenade and Melee energy recharge for you and allies standing in a Rift. Additionally, it should increase the duration of Solar Grenades (does not stack with Sunbracers). Phoenix Dive should give you increased damage resistance during the animation, when out of the Super, and ignites the ground, leaving lingering damage when used during the Super.

    • Lmao. They did it to make people use too tree and promote its use. Double dash is amazing but doesn’t save the tree or the class. Warlock buffs are ignored. No buff to melee, jumping speed or crucible based exotics. I have given up posting and after my ban saying and constructively posting some good ideas realized they simply don’t care.

Bungee thinks balance is fix one thing you don’t like. Then immediately break the thing you do like to force you away from what you were using. Bottom tree should have been left alone. But then you might not use what Bungie determined you HAVE TO USE. So they break bottom tree so you have no choice but use too tree. There is no choice. They always choose for you. Play like we demand is more accurate.

Dude I main stormcaller and it is so pathetic. All hunter supers, Beside gunslinger gg, have crazy armor but I get killed by auto rifles in like half a clip even when Im teleporting and jumping. Meanwhile I can electricute a hunter Wraith blade forever and it just one hits me. Shit is garbage.

No super should track... getting that out there now From what I gathered, from Warlocks when those changes were announced, it seems that a majority want the class to get a better neutral game. The Bottom Tree has little to no neutral game which means its all based around the super. Which is a terrible design in general. I've said it before, but I'd happily trade the Super energy recovery to an Exotic, like some of the other subclasses have, if it meant getting some decent neutral-game abilities in bottom tree Dawnblade. Things like making the Melee do more than just tickle by having it explode on contact instead of on death, setting everything on fire. That or maybe have the Rift set enemies that enter it on fire to make it useful for area control (or at least scare off wounded enemies that try to rush you). It would certainly make Rift more worthwhile to use. Especially since Phoenix Dive can recover health in a fraction of the time it takes a Rift to do so while also being on a significantly shorter cooldown. I mean it is Attunement of Flame. The lack of ways to set stuff on fire is actually a bit disappointing. Plus trading Super energy recovery to an Exotic would indirectly buff top tree's otherwise lackluster Super. So both trees would benefit from that. With the way things are with bottom tree Dawnblade though I ended up throwing on Wings of Sacred Dawn and run around with Strafe Glide. It's like having most of top tree's neutral game with none of the drawbacks (grenade cost, lackluster Super); all combined with the superior Super of bottom tree. And it honestly makes me think more and more that top and bottom tree Dawnblade are two halves of the same subclass that were unnecessarily split apart.

                      • Most Warlock skill trees are carries by 1 perk and that's a bout it. Does anybody really run bottom tree nova bomb for the super or anything? Face it, you use it for Devour. Does anyone actually use Nova Warp for Nova Warp and not just Hand held super Nova? If bottom tree Dawnblade didn't have tracking, would anyone actually use it? Probably not.

                        • It needs an actual neutral game. There's no synergy with any of its perks.

They said it themselves... It was a contravertial change. It wasn't needed. It wasn't causing a big issue. The path had poor neutral game as a trade off. But they nerfed it anyway to force top path usage.

                            • Buffing the neutral game would be more interesting. The subclass was pretty bad even before the Daybreak changes. The super was the only thing that made even worth considering. Here are some potential changes that could make the tree better in general. -New focus of the subclass would be to set as many enemies on fire as possible. Every ability can set enemies alight. Burn damage would be minimal in PvP (2-3 per tick), but much higher in PvE. Burns can stack up to 5 times, but each ability only applies one (except Flame Jet). Burn effects last for 4 seconds (one tick every 0.4 seconds). -New Melee Ability: Flame Jet: Press and hold the melee button to release a continuous stream of fire from your hand, which ignites enemies. Doing this gradually uses up melee energy, but can only be activated when energy is full. [This ability can be held for up to three seconds, and applies one burn for each second it is touching an enemy.] -Oxidize: Charge your grenade to apply a burn effect to it, allowing it to ignite enemies. -Wildfire: Killing an ignited enemy restores energy for all abilities. Ignited enemies explode upon death, igniting nearby enemies. Daybreak kills extend its duration and Daybreak projectiles ignite enemies. -Phoenix Dive (rework): Hold crouch to slam to the ground and release a blast of fire (cooldown is now 25 seconds outside of super), which can ignite enemies. During Daybreak, this blast is MUCH more powerful. These changes would give this skill tree a much-needed neutral game buff, while also preserving some of the things that make the super so good.

Warlocks supers and abilities all need reworking. The longer I play the game more I see why most people play Titan and Hunter in PVP. Had a terrible day in Surival PVP today. My dawnblades were either just completely missing sitting ducks, landing next to them doing zero damage and even some of the blades just passing straight through targets and not registering a hit! All warlock supers are absolute trash compared to the other classes. Slow avoidable projectiles, terrible tracking on bottom tree dawnblade and slowmobomb. Titans can shoulder smash through your supers and hunters can cancel them altogether with tether. Then add on the fact that Titan and hunters can block and dps with their supers and see through walls with OEM and hunter super. Warlocks are just sitting ducks. In PVE yes good add-clear but squishy. Lets not talk about how trash Warlock Melee is..

                                • The nerf to bottom tree's Daybreak absolutely clipped our wings. We go Strafe Glide to make it faster but at the cost of our neutral game's speed and vice versa. The change is done. So instead of trying to go as fast we used to use Burst Glide and stay low to the ground. Ascend vertically only to gain a better angle for the flaming sword projectiles. If you get used to the way this Daybreak works you'll come to realize that it's not about shooting around the map anymore. It's about activating it near opponents and using it's long range, seeking projectiles to keep the super going. It's all we can do for now.

                                  • What pisses me off the most is how hunters got buffed on both top tree and bottom tree, bottom tree dawn gets nerfed so players would use top tree more but hunters get buffed on both top and bottom because why not? I love my hunter but man warlocks truly have it bad, I actually have options when I play hunter but I always feel so limited and frustrated when playing warlock. As you said, bottom tree focuses on the super, it has 3 perks on the class thats only to buff the super. Neutral game is non existent, there is no synergy or buffs or any passives to make it stand out. Top tree is all about being in the air, middle tree is all about support but bottom tree? 3 perks meant for the super and bungie removes the one thing needed for the player to take advantage of one of the perks on that subclass. A class meant for its super and not even its neutral game have anything to boost super regeneration, not even something like ability kills grant super energy, Nothing!
