Anybody out there that plays mmo/rpg type games, either free to play or subscription based have an opinion on what's the best to play?
I see Black Desert Online and Final Fantasy 14, ESO , along with a bunch of others mixed in. What's the best one in your opinion and why.
I'm leaning towards ESO, but Black Desert Online looks good. I'm just worried about the monetization of that game.
Thanks for your insight

It does have a few issues here and there depending on who you talk to, and a lot of people will cry that it changed its ways and they will cry for the WoW of the past. But the fact remains that it is fleshed out beyond any other game out there - with a colourful, varied and interesting world to be in at all levels. Being able to actually care about and recognise the world and characters you're interacting with is what really cemented Warcraft's footprint on gaming. It has grown to accommodate all players and playstyles, and interests with a heap of quests, collectable, dungeons, ranked dungeons, raids, easter eggs, Pokemon battles, achievements, PvP ranks, battlegrounds and arenas, there's level scaling to allow you to level in any order you please. There's also a multitude of starting races and classes with more to unlock as you progress. To make things better, it's completely free to have as many characters up to level 20 as you like. On top of that buying the latest expansion gives you complete access to every expansion before it, and a month's subscription (the 1 month sub might have been a limited time offer, I'm not sure). On top of that again, a subscription will give you complete access to WoW Classic servers, so you can see for yourself the WoW of old that plays considerably different.
Black Desert Online also sucks unfortunately. I was really excited about it for the combat, but the game is built around grinding and its just depressing.
