After the release of Destiny 2 on Google Stadia, i was confident a Linux port would soon be released or, at minimum, support for Steam Proton, Lutris or WINE would be announced.
The lack of anything regarding this topic from Bungie upsets me as i mainly use a Linux distro, keeping windows only for a select few games that refuse to support it.
What is everyones thoughts on Linux support, and why do you think theres been no real answer to it?

The amount of people using linux compared to windows and others is so much smaller that it would not financially make any sense to use developer time on it

Bungie has gone on record about Proton and WINE support. You can see their response here: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/253781012/0/0/1
Destiny 2 is not supported on Proton or Wine, because these compatibility layers are unable to support our full anti-cheat. The game will fail to launch. If users modify Proton/Wine to force Destiny 2 to launch anyway without our full anti-cheat functionality, players may receive an account ban. Per Valve's announcement of Proton:
Q: Are there any games that will never work with Proton? It's likely that some games using complex DRM or anti-cheat systems will be difficult, or even impossible to support.

Stadia is a controlled environment that runs a single version of Linux on all their servers.
