I agree with OP, blues are annoying to burn individually.
easy solution for Dev: single keystroke on loadout screen that burns all blues in loadout into gunsmith materials at the same time. if you want to keep a blue, don't use the button.
see BL2: hitting delete key in vending machines sell all 'junk' items in one keystroke
