Appearance, yes absolutely. Changing from male to female or female to male, -blam!- no

Why are you so against it?
-
Because at that point they might as well let us change from awoken to exo or exo to human. It’s unnecessary. We don’t need that. It’s almost like starting a new character if we have those features and is a shortcut around starting over. Facial appearances like hair length and other cosmetic appearance are perfect to have changeable because they are changeable In real life on a day to day basis. People don’t change from man to woman or woman to man daily.

Nor do they launch themselves as a ball of lightning through the sky or bend reality with a slap of their hand. You haven't exactly explained why you're against it. Yeah it's unnecessary So is adding any way to change our characters appearance
Nor do they launch themselves as a ball of lightning through the sky or bend reality with a slap of their hand. You haven't exactly explained why you're against it. Yeah it's unnecessary So is adding any way to change our characters appearance
I urge you to reread my post. I clearly explained why. 1) It’s a shortcut to creating a new character. That’s lazy. Play the game if you want a new character. 2) hair design and changing from male to female or the other way around are two different concepts if you didn’t know. I could change my hair every day if I wanted but not change to a female one day and then a male and back and forth every day. 3) you have 3 character slots. If you couldn’t make it the way you want, then that’s your fault. No one forced you to choose something you knew you didn’t want. It’s quite simple. If you want a dude pick a dude. If you want a lady pick a lady.

Edited by draycole: 1/13/2020 2:38:08 AMAh OK So what exactly is the reasoning for that? Why do you feel the need to restrict how people want their character to look or what gender they want their fictional character to be? I just don't understand why it's a big enough deal that you have to vote against it. When it has 0 affect on gameplay It seems kinda petty that the only reason is "don't be lazy, make a new character"

I just don't understand why it's a big enough deal that you have to vote against it. When it has 0 affect on gameplay It seems kinda petty that the only reason is "don't be lazy, make a new character"
Well if it has 0 affect on gameplay like you say, and I agree, then what’s the purpose in changing it? You hardly see your character anyway. So what’s the need in changing? You had the choice to pick what you wanted. And an additional 2 slots. If you couldn’t make what you wanted with those options, then I don’t feel sorry for you. No one held a gun to your head telling you to pick the opposite gender of what you wanted. You chose that. It wasn’t just given to you either. You had options. Why people choose the opposite of what they actually want is beyond me. And you are essentially creating a new character. Yeah it’s fiction. But the changing genders at will is a bit of a stretch. There is zero reason to implement changing genders. It’s not that big of a deal. No advantages of having one over the other. Bungie has bigger issues to focus on than this.

This game isn't exactly a realism simulator. iirc in GTA Online, you can change everything about your character for $100,000. Maybe every few months you can change the major stuff of your character?

Maybe every few months you can change the major stuff of your character?
Not saying it’s gotta be realistic. If you want to change your character, there are some options. 1) Start over. Don’t be lazy. The game imo is pretty boring and nothing to do anyway as of the moment. Delete the character you don’t want and start over. 2) Use your other 2 slots if they’re still available. If you can’t have your desired appearance in the 3 character slots they give you, that’s your fault. Which leads me into option 3... 3) Make your character look the way you want in when you make it. Don’t be stupid. There’s nothing preventing you from choosing female when you want a female. No one is saying since you want a female guardian you have to choose a man because it’s not what you want. Choose what you want. It’s very simple.
