Black armory bow randon rolls got it with snapshot and rampage

I love bows, but the lightweight frames just don't hit as hard as they should IMO. I have an amazing Spiteful Fang with moving target and rampage... just lackluster damage on things like acolytes or vandals for example.
-
It's lightweight frame. Not very consistent in PvP due to the lower damage.
-
Neither are the precision only reliable one I've seen is wishender especially on console
-
I mean precision frame can 2 body shot kill, while lightweight needs 1 precision 1 body. With draw times being as little as 0.036s between lowest draw time precision frame and lightweight frame there's no point in using lightweight.

Edited by Rogue: 1/7/2020 9:19:46 PMIf you want to talk about “no point,” there’s no point using a bow in PVP in general. It has the absolute longest time to kill of any weapon.
-
I pair le monarque with a quickdraw trackless waste and it works winders for me. Its a tough loadout for rumble though, but in quickplay its really deadly.

Edited by UreNastiness: 1/7/2020 9:36:35 PMHahahaha you could not be more wrong. Besides a precision shot from sniper, it has one of the fastest, if not the fastest TTK in PvP...if you know how to use it https://youtu.be/KAKM_hxfMwU

Edited by Rogue: 1/7/2020 9:47:19 PMWhat are you even saying? Yeah, a sniper has the highest TTK. It’s hard to beat 0.001 seconds. A bow has the longest TTK, every other weapon type can kill faster than a bow can.

Did you watch the video?

Legit though, the weapon swapping strat with a bow and Eriana’s vow just further proves how lacklustre bows are. There single most dominant strategy is as set up for a vastly superior weapon? Not exactly a fantastic claim to fame.
-
Yeah, Eriana’s vow is pretty cool.
-
I disagree. Paired with a well rolled hc or smg and any thrown melee, cooking with grease. Hunters especially have it in a good way with the bow gauntlets. Easy mode if you know how to play. Not to mention rampage on subtle calamity stacked times 3 one shots.
-
Lot of weapons can perform well with rampage. You’re just never going to fully stack rampage in the crucible on a bow. In the event that you do, it wouldn’t be because you played well, it would be because your opponents played poorly.
-
Opponents playing bad is 100 percent not why or how I get it. An incredibly smart player or team can make it work
-
An incredibly smart player would be performing even better with a weapon that performed above the curve. Same with a good team, of you need a pre-made team to make a weapon functional, that’s not really praise for the weapon. It’s a concept from league of legends that can be applied to all pvp. When you’re performing well and getting lots of kills, confirmation bias kicks in and you tell yourself it’s because you’re good at the game. You don’t see the mistakes other players make, you just see what you’re doing right. In a lot of situations individuals do very little to secure their kills, it’s often the other player playing so poorly that seals their fate. In that situation, you could be using literally any weapon or playstyle to secure the kill. Essentially; Being able to secure a 1.0 KD while playing passively and scumming around corners with a bow doesn’t mean that you’re good or bows are viable.
-
Assuming I have a 1.0 kd is laughable. That's hardly average. All I'm saying is if take time and learn a weapon in and out, it can very well produce results higher than that of the "above the curve" weapons. So to that point, we might agree to disagree.
-
I get it fairly consistently until they pick up what I'm putting down. But.my point is alot.of weapons are viable but need to be learned. I agree that people tend to easy mode but that doesnt mean they are the most effective
