Contrary to popular belief, the curated roll is actually legit in PvP. Throw Quick Access Sling on that bad boy, pair it with Luna’s, NF or if you want to be super toxic, Eriana’s then slip on those Oathkeepers and have fun. Instant hate mail...

But I can get 0.1s faster draw on my Subtle Calamity and do the same thing.
-
How? Both Luna and not forgotten are energy weapons. How are you going to pair subtle calamity with another energy weapon?
-
I meant using the same method, not the same energy weapon and you know it. Stop trolling.
-
No I didn’t, and I’m not trolling. Bows aren’t worth using in pvp in general, but using an energy bow and denying yourself; Luna’s Not Forgotten Recluse Is just stupid, those are some of the most used weapons for a reason.
-
Why would I use any of those if I can use Spare Rations (which is better than Not Forgotten or Luna, btw), Thorn, The Last Word or Crimson to pair the bow with? Ofc, energy slot also has some good weapons to pair with bow in the kinetic slot. But you can only get a precision frame bow with random rolls from GoS. And that sucks.
-
Check out the PVP tier list, none of what you mentioned performs better than Luna’s or Not forgotten.
-
Apparently performing and being popular is the same word to you. Good to know.
-
Straw man argument. Luna’s is currently responsible for 8%~ of all precision kills in the crucible. Beaten out exclusively by Revoker. The only things that get popular in the crucible are things that perform well.
-
Except that you need to get 500 kills with Luna's Howl in Survival for a quest to obtain Not Forgotten. Look there, Mr. strawman, you don't know jack shit about bows and what they pair with. So get back to being a troll somewhere else.
-
What is the percentage use rate of bows in PVP?
-
And this is exactly why you don't know what they pair with. Since you never played a bow.
-
Answer the question.
-
What has your question got to do with anything? This discussion is about kinetic precision frame bows and not about weapon popularity. Dumbass.
-
At roughly rank 30, at a less than 0.5% use rate is Wish ender. You don’t see another bow till much, much later. Whoever is using a bow in PVP is putting themselves at a huge disadvantage. And is mistaking other people playing poorly for their own personal skill.
-
That was the OP yes, but we’ve been having a conversation. I asked you what percentage of players use bows in the crucible. That information is available to you.
-
Ok, then answer my question first: what has your question got to do with anything that would relate with anything we discussed before? Because I don't see the point answering a pointless question just so your ego is satisfied.
-
Edited by Rogue: 1/7/2020 5:34:37 PMMy ego has nothing to do with the viability of bows in the crucible. There’s more to arguing a point than using the buzz words.
-
Ego has nothing to do where a weapon sits in the current meta lol. But usage rate is far from a tier list. Bows get overlooked for whatever reason but that doesn't mean they are bad. I've played with plenty of sweats using a bow smg loadout and hang just as i would with a shotgun and hc. It boils down to playstyle and if you can hit shots and move. It's not for everyone but it's far from being bad.

It takes skill but super deadly in the right hands. To say that it is “lackluster” is not exactly how I would describe it. It takes skill to use and challenges you rather than sitting in the back of the map with a sniper or just rushing everything in sight with an SMG or shotty. If I get sniped I’m like okay whatever, respawn but when somebody absolutely melts me before I knew what happened with something like that, I get intrigued. There’s nothing in Destiny that’s exciting anymore, everyone uses the same guns over and over and over. You will always have the “meta” and I’m not knocking players for that, It just comes down to how you like to play, what you’re good with and what you have fun with. You say that players are at a “huge disadvantage” in PvP if they use a bow. That may be the case with certain players with certain skills or players that try to go into Comp solo or that do not know strategies. The same can be said for someone that uses Revoker/Not Forgotten but is not good with either. No, you cannot run wild with a Bow but you learn quickly that Comp is just as much about survival as it is about kills. Do I recommend Titans or Warlocks run bows? Not really, Hunters have the armor and play style that are geared toward them. I don’t care for Bows in PvE, I believe there are better options but to each their own. I tried the combo after I saw the video awhile back but I personally don’t run the Eriana’s combo because of the lack of special ammo. I run Spare Rations/Le Monarque, No Turning Back/Not Forgotten or Crimson/Subtle Calamity, all of which can be just as deadly. Le Monarque negates healing while applying DoT for a few seconds, spreads poison to others and makes for an easy cleanup if you’re working together with your team. Crimson, Spare Rations and NF all have great range and can win close quarters gunfights if needed but not everyone has them and Bows/HCs aren’t everyone’s forte.
