I think Shattered and heroic dungeons should drop pinnacles, too.
Edit: Thanks. This turned out to be a decent conversation.

Seeing this feedback for both Dungeons and older Raids. Any other activities you feel need some pinnacle love?
-
I dont want to be forced to run more old shit over and over. Bored to death with shattered throne and old raids.
-
Every Milestone should drop pinnacle rewards, and they should be a lot -blam!-ing higher than +2.
-
Raids as well. Perhaps have a legacy raid be a featured raid of the week to get pinnacle drops from like how D1 did it. Prestige raids, especially prestige Eater of Worlds & Spire of Stars, need a serious update. The prestige modifier is outdated in the current sandbox.
-
Better yet, get rid of this pinnacle nonsense and go back to just leveling up running activities of your choice. Then other stuff like the raid or dungeon could drop master worked armor. (each step)
-
What's a heroic dungeon?
-
Old raids maybe?

Edited by an Ape with a d2 addiction: 1/3/2020 7:57:26 AMIt's a bit funny this is what they moved away from in shadowkeep. Can't remember the exact reason why. Was it because pinnacle progression was too fast, folks hit the cap too early and activity dropped? Agreed the current model isn't exactly working as intended either. Game balancing is hard.
-
The pinnacle grind is so screwed for entire year anyway because there's no heavy drop in the raid. If they had half a brain they would've added Love and Death to the Pit loot pool and made every drop a pinnacle like every Throne drop was a power drop when it was relevant. As it stands now everyone I know that is still playing tortures themselves through 1 pit and just saves 2 boss checkpoints...solid content.
-
heroic dungeons would be great idea maybe add barrier, overlord and unstoppable
-
Matching Shattered Throne and older raids light level to the current dungeon and raid and including a Pinnicle for those versions works for me. If nothing else pick one of them weekly to feature for it.
-
Only if it's brought up to new power level standards. I think all raids and dungeons should be go up in power level each season as we do.

Edited by xbroggiex: 1/3/2020 3:06:31 PMWhile some people didn't like going to the dreaming city each week for powerful loot for me it was still quite fun, now there is literally no reason to do any Forsaken content because Bungie has made it all obsolete. Dreaming City Bounties? Have reduced XP rewards and aren't worth doing for some of them like collect 15 Baryon Boughs for some -blam!-ing Baryon Boughs as a reward lol. Challenges? Only legendary loot now, also what is the point of doing this content when you can't even use the new seasonal mods on the armour? Raids? Only worth playing once or twice and then no more as the rewards aren't powerful and most of all the old raid gear is bad, not saying all old raid loot is bad just most. The dungeon? As said in this post doesn't have any worthwhile rewards. Spider Bounties? Reduced XP and only gives you some glimmer and one core. I think it might be a UI bug but it doesn't seem Spiders Dailies don't give any XP at all. Blind Well? No point in playing it as it isn't matchmade so you have to get lucky with your instancing, and the rewards are no longer powerful and the activity isn't really that rewarding to begin with. Ascendant Challenge? No powerful loot or worthwhile loot and pathetic amount of XP from the bounty. It's disappointing that if someone buys Forsaken now they aren't really getting much worthwhile stuff for that money they put into the game. Also, found it hilarious that if you don't have Shadowkeep you couldn't even do Eris' daily bounties on the Moon which people without Shadowkeep do have the ability to meet the requirements for them lmao.

Agreed

I prefer to keep it current events. Dont want to be running 2 year old tired stuff for a pinna le to keep up with PL.
I think Shattered and heroic dungeons should drop pinnacles, too. Edit: Thanks. This turned out to be a decent conversation.
Sitting in lfg all season to have level cap above pinnacle cap sucks. I didn't get undying chasing pinnacles that blues dropped at season reset is insulting. No matchmaking for this stuff is fustrating.
-
I see no reason to do any pinnacle there is nothing I want from any 980 activity, and the whole power system is way overrated by players not knowing how power works in this game.
-
good luck getting pinnacles if you solo player

Edited by TheWanderer17: 1/3/2020 5:53:42 PMAfter more thought I would also settle for masterwork from this dungeon, not necessarily requiring pinnacle gear or 2x ascendance shards garantee to offer an improved grinding experience per week. Current rates are far too low, therefor I'm avoiding us these to masterwork anything. Surely this isnt the experience they wanted. Another concept would be improving gear stats. I wouldnt care if it was a +2 effect to a random stat. Progress is nice and then I could turn crap to something good. All in all. We need more than just a pinnacle economy.
-
the pinnacle from the new pit should at least have good stats! ran one last night and got a masterworked chest with a total of 64 stats! are you kidding me! :(
-
No , it’s fine as is .
-
Needs it's own loot pool with exclusive stuff. That's a massive problem for the game ATM, loot isn't interesting enough.

On top of dungeons, we have 4 raids and 2 raid lairs that go essentially untouched by most veteran players who no longer have items to grind. Gear 2.0 offers the opportunity to grind out the updated version of the raid gear, however it is not incentive enough. If they have a weekly rotator between these 6 activities dropping pinnacle rewards, it would invigorate the veteran player base to do these activities once again. This would dramatically increase activity participation and increase the chance for newer players and veteran players to have an interested population to tie up loose ends in gear hunting. The best rotation would be leviathan (to include lairs), last wish, scourge of the past, then crown of sorrow. Four weeks, essentially a month, to get 1 of each in the rotation. A season is essentially 3 months long, so 3 chances for every activity a season.
