I didn't play Metroid Prime for the first time until this year and I loved it so much. I wish I played it as a kid. I'm excited for Metroid Prime 4 and I hope to god they get the same composer to come back that did the soundtrack for the first game. Metroid Prime's music is so beautiful and amazing. Also one little detail I loved about the game is whenever you'd get hit with a bright flash of light, you could see Samus' face reflection on her visor and she'd blink and react to the light too. That blew my mind whenever I first saw that.

  • A lot of the old crew is back for MP4 so I’d say they’ll want the old composer back for it too, off the top of my head, Quadraxis, Torvus Bog, Sanctuary Fortress, Metroid Prime, Echoes Theme, Phendrana Drifts, Dark Samus MP3 theme, Valhalla and the Lower Torvus Bog OSTs are some of the most memorable in gaming. Being honest most of the OSTs for the trilogy are still stuck in my head. Another nice little detail was that they never forgot Samus was an actual character with emotions. While they’re subtle, elements of her character come out, especially in the ending of MP2 and during MP3. In MP2 once you complete the game, as the Luminoth bow to you in thanks for saving their world, all Samus does is a solitary hand waving goodbye, as if it was no trouble to her and it was the right thing to do despite the hell that was going through Dark Aether. In MP3, although the weakest of the series, had a few character moments for Samus too, her remorse at the death of each Hunters death shows a lot about her. For Rundas, she tries to pull him back to sanity but he’s forced to kill himself. For Ghor, she shoots the essence of Dark Samus in a rage for making her kill a fellow hunter and for Gandrayda, she looks away in horror as Gandrayda imitates her screaming as she dies. Without a single word, Retro managed to establish a great relationship between Samus and her Dark counterpart through the suffering DS puts her through.
