No Arc Battery/Thunder Coil Equivalent Next Season

This was unnecessary and I really hope the void/solar counterpart isn’t coming next. Look it’s not a huge deal really, but it does mean that not playing Arc tree is a disadvantage in PvP and it’s just like why create that situation for a whole season? All the abilities that these perks buffed are strong enough without. Happy to hear counter points but i really like playing void and solar trees and every time I do, I do so knowing I’m taking myself down a notch. Edit: providing a disabling feature in PvP is fine as well.

    They should just disable artifact mods in comp.

Hunters are definitely the favorites in D2, and it kinda kills PVP

      • IMO, Instead of Players asking for more & more Nerfs.. because we all know that Bungie doesn’t give The nerfs exactly like people ask for, but instead it’s always something Else. Instead ask for More Balance, More Counter-Balance! If you believe something is OP, then ask for Something else that can Counter it, in order to create a Balance. & also Give Examples. Sometimes, I believe people forget that PvP nerfs always affect PvE gameplay, in a bad/negative way...

          That's not necessarily true. I still prefer goldy or blade barrage in pvp, even with thunder coil or arc battery/wormhusk running around. I also go with knucklehead radar over wormhusk or stompees. Just because something is meta doesn't mean it's better. Everyone has different playstyles anyway. As far as warlocks go, voidwalker is still the go-to in terms of usage and popularity, even with the seasonal artifact mods. Honestly, they aren't that big of a deal

            I agree, the Arc battery has been a terribly annoying ability in crucible. There simply should not be overshields ever in crucible by any class unless cast by a super. Hunters being able to get one simply by dodging is annoying. I main a hunter and am saying this. Arc battery belongs in the trash, people (especially certain streamers) are abusing it.

                Next season Arc Battery will be replaced with Solar Battery that does the same thing. Thunder Coil will be replaced with Heating Coil.

                • They just need to make it so they're not active in PvP. I understand that some people enjoy them there, but they've likely caused too many problems. The Champion mods have me more worried. They should turn those into universal weapon mods instead of locking them to certain types. Locking them to certain weapons just hurts diversity by forcing you to use those specific weapon types in activities with Champions.

                  • it's totally a NO- SENSE to remove the season 8 perks. Why farm for a thing that you lost? Bungie fail. I love this game for create builds, so i hope Destiny not become Cod ( only shoot )

                    • Sorta related to the topic but if next season we get champion mods again (i.e barrier and overload). PLEASE have two slots on the weapons, one for regular mods and one for champion mods .

                      • I hope there is something like these so that maybe the Warlocks can finally get something like that. Going an entire season as a Warlock main with nothing like that is boring and not very fun. I could use handheld supernova like everyone else but it's not the same as being able to just eat heavy because I dodged and can do that every 15 seconds or the ability to shotgun someone then wipe a team with my melee. 1 grenade ability vs invincible hunters and one punch man titans. I have to fully spec into max grenade recharge rate, they get to chuck on a mod on their class item.

From a PvE perspective though, I think it's fine to have powerful mods attached to an element (having no element restrictions would allow you to use too many at once), but there needs to be mods for all three elements on the artifact. Solar was left out this season.

Throwing a charged axion bolt on a zone and hitting 1 player on it was enough to eliminate all players on that zone. I see that just as cheap as thunder coil.
