Bright Dust economy is just... poor

So yeah, this season has been fun and strong with Vex Offensive and the Nightmares. But it has one big negative mark. Namely Bright Dust. Before Shadowkeep dropped, I had 14k after dismanteling all Eververse items. Right now in the 4th week I am down to 400. I have only bought 4 exotic items and 1 legendary so far. 5 things, and my saved up Dust is gone. And with the Cosmetic Engrams being gone this season, there's no other way to get the items. Now, I can always earn back some Dust by doing the in-game bounties. Right? Right. Except with constant and efficient farming, you only net 200 to 250 per hour. That's 10 to 15 hours of work for a single exotic ghost. Even before Shadowkeep, we got 200 dust per bounty as a default. We could get a over 2k per hour. How did we get such a drop? How did we go from a steady dust income if you put in some effort, to scraping dust together if you keep at it for hours? How did the economy taking such a massive hit seem like a good idea? Does this really get people to buy the overpriced Silver in order to get cosmetics? I may be biased to liking the previous setting for our Dust economy over the current one, but I don't think Silver will get any more use out of this either. It's just all negative for everyone. I just dread to think what Festival of the Lost will bring. Because so far it does not look good at all.

 • This is the one thing that's making me want to quit destiny 2 altogether. Destiny has been a way of life for me since d1 beta. Now since shadowkeep launch I have managed to get 2.160 bright dust. I have noticed that bungie do sell items for bright dust but the sources of obtaining it have been seriously limited since shadowkeep. You can see how much effort they have put into EV items to make them look good (better than anything before) but it's silver only! They gave us the bullshit "nostalgic engram" so we can't get any new EV items. They blame Activision for the greed but bungie are just as bad if not worse at least then we could earn them in game by getting bright engrams. Now it's completely locked behind a pay wall. Then with the limiting of bright dust (in a shady way) yes you can get it from bounties but it's like 20 BD per pointy. So to get a exotic sparrow that's 2500 BD that's 125 bounties. That's stupid and purposely done by bungie to make you buy silver. They put more effort into EV than in game items that are 95% reskins. I used to be hardcore destiny fan and stood by the game and bungie through all the BS but now I can't do it anymore. They are getting too greedy and lazy. Shadowkeep was a huge disappointment (not enough content) remember season of undying wasn't shadowkeep I'm taking about shadowkeep as a stand alone dlc. If compared to ROI you can tell that bungie have been very lazy in making unique content. Now they have given some bullshit excuse covering their own ass saying "future seasons will have less content but HIGHER QUALITY CONTENT???" (RASPUTIN ONLINE // TRANSLATING //FROM // BUNGIEBULLSHIT // PROCESSING........... ///..... //we have your money now and we are going to give you the minimum amount of content that's 98% reskins or reterning content so we can put all our efforts into making evervurse items the best looking and highest quality in the game so you will spend £8 for 1 exotic ornament TRANSLATION COMPLETE.... / this is a disgusting way to treat loyal fans. Also the prices of items for bright dust is the same price as before shadowkeep when bright dust was easy to get now it's not the prices should be lower. Bright dust is rarer than 1000k voices now. I know it's pointless ranting as bungie will not change it because ££ is what drives them at then end of the day and EV brings in more money than any DLC with less work and using less of their budget. They have now worked that out and its very obvious. IF players stop buying silver as a protest then bungo might listen but as long as EV is pulling in 100% profits then it won't change. I have vowed to never buy silver and no matter what they bring out I won't enable them. I didn't in D1 and I won't in D2. Soon EV will take over the whole game it's already in our menus so bungie have made it easier to buy silver. Please don't buy silver show bungie we have the power not them
