I've said it in other thread but I'll spread it around for those with a short attention span and/or poor situational awareness. We were all warned in the Directors Cut blog post as to less content or features due to team burn out and making content is hard. I'm sure those are true and they're real people, but it's a hard excuse to hear. I'm not trying to make one of the edgy bash posts. Just pointing out the writing has been on the wall for those that don't pay attention. Which is most.

  • Unfortunately this is true. Still doesn’t make it any less disappointing but it’s a fact. Bungie simply cannot give the appropriate amount of development effort to a game like Destiny, not with the resources they have right now. But I have to wonder, what’s worse. Spreading the development schedule over a longer period, ensuring quality content but taking a risk players might leave, or giving us one disappointing season after another that constantly frustrates players and chips away at the confidence we have in the team. It’s a tough call. As it is right now, I think I’d rather have quality content than whatever this “semi-Destiny” is.

  • I think they’re wagering on the faster content. For the masses that keeps them engaged. For us hardcore we’d of course rather have the opposite. But look round the industry. That’s the trend and way to keep people around and make cash. Gotta take it for what it is anymore.
