Yes, most games worth playing have grinding involved.
Yes, most things worth having are not easy to get.
However, we have a change here that essentially means we need to keep high-energy versions of each armor slot ready to go (thus insane mats, thanks to the new system).
Since this takes insane mats, I've got only one build. This is killing gameplay. I'm tired of grinding and would like to enjoy the endgame content more instead. Even Ordeal NFs and Iron Banner aren't giving you what is necessary for this. Terrible rewards, including no cores or armor with good stats, at least from my experience.
I don't even know how to fix this with so many players including myself having already spent so many mats on gear. I've gotten so many pieces of gear to 8-9 energy, just to shard it when I get one with better stats. The upgrade/mod economy is a joke right now.
I know some people agree, but what do most think of this..?

i hate those armor elements, all the armor farm is x3 for it
-
The problem for me is that you can only obtain the required ascended shards and enhancement prisms from higher tier nf's. Nothing else, just that terrible boring repetitive piece of endgame content. How ppl can enjoy farming those for hours is beyond me but props to them. Nontheless imo we need other sources for the ppl who do not have the infinite attention span to repeat those over and over again. Make them drop at the end of crucible matches, strikes, gambit. Make them rare but make them drop. The concept isn't that hard. The current system only allows hardcore grinders to enhance their gear. People who actually want to play the game are left out once more. Way worse than what we had in forsaken and even then ppl were complaining that enhancement cores are to hard to get.

Tfw Void has basically all your favorite weapon types.

Not a fan either.
-
Yes really bad idea.
-
you tell me, I infused like 200 items before I knew I could just keep them in the vault and it still counts for leveling up. New Light warrior here.
-
Ah yes. Having one of each elemental affinity is much worse than a full inventory for perks combinations.
-
Super frustrating.
-
Yup. This system is wack. I’m still using my Y2 armor because I’m not getting anything I want.

Edited by zJDz: 11/12/2019 2:36:12 AMNever go above 5 masterwork unless it is a good roll. I know it limits things but it will help. I only masterwork gear that will be in the 80+ range when full masterworked. So my titan has chest piece fully masterworked with 84 stats. I did my titans boots and class item too.

Seasons & 2.0 stopped me buying the game, I still play but dislike 2.0 very much for it's excessive grind. So Bungie did learn something from last years debacle with cores & it's not user friendly why?
-
How about going back in time grinding full sets of the majestic solstice armor and then when 2.0 armor comes out you can stare at all the blue, purple and exotic armor having superior stats and more energy by ten points
-
Bumb. System would be OK if there would be more reliable source of Ascendant Shards. Ppl will soon realise they never get MW armour for all affinities.. some not even for one set. The grind is too bad and there are no places to get except master NF.

You're supposed to make meaningful decisions about what gear you want to spend your materials on.

Season of The Undying Crybabies

I knew this would be bad when they first revealed it

I know what you mean, my build on my warlock revolves around explosions (chromatic fire, dragonfly on my secondary, and 1k voices), but guess who can't put on linear fusion rifle reserves or ammo finder because my exotic chest piece isn't solar, and linear fusion mods are only solar .-.

Well, I’ve kept my Y2 raid armor for a reason. Now I’ve gotta “rank up with Banshee” to get all the perk access (inventory overload), just the right armor and materials to improve said armor. Won’t be long till we have to the exact same thing with weapons, won’t that be fun?

I agree, but I also think it's one of the issues with D2 right now that bothers me the least. The biggest issue is how Mountaintop and Recluse have ruined PvP and nothing has been done about it. OEM is another issue, but I do believe that will be fixed soon. Then there is the fact that Xur is mostly useless for veteran players who have all the exotics he offers. And then there is the new Bright Dust economy changes. The over pricing of Eververse both Silver and Bright Dust. The fact that the new dungeon offers NOTHING of value. Raid exotics still being RMG instead of quests that require a certain number of completions... I could go on and on.

Bump for rehash of a topic Bungie has yet to acknowledge, at least to my knowledge. I know there are other threads out there. Let's fix this thing!
