Ping&Lag in Destiny 2.

I live in Turkey and I do not have any problem with the internet. But when I enter the Crucible match, I always get a high ping and I'm very uncomfortable. When I shoot an enemy, the damage sign appears after 3-4 seconds. Is there an extra solution or am I having a country-based problem?

As someone who has played raids/pvp for over a year now, i have not had much issues with Ping and have always used same internet connection, same patch that festival came out i started also receiving big latency and game "rolling backwards" when in 6 man pvp or raid activities. This is not as bad when on three man activities but can definitely confirm that something happened in way that destiny manages connections. Maybe this issue is to stay and i should move on into another games or maybe not but there is little to nothing i can do outside of purchasing fiber connection that i think is not worth over one game. For first time in a year my fireteam also has kicked me from raid bosses because having discord will push this issue even further and makes game literally unplayable if trying to keep both connections up

  • Run the latency test at testmy.net: https://testmy.net/latency Click the icon with the eye on it to run all the tests back to back. Watch what the line graphs are doing. If they are continually spiking really high and you keep getting high deviation numbers, then you may have a latency/jitter problem for your ISP to investigate. Each of the individual test graphs will note the address it tested, so you can look closer at that particular route (run traces and such)... sometimes a certain exchange point is a common denominator they can look at. There is another batch ping test you can run at dslreports.com for extra comparison as well: http://www.dslreports.com/tools/pingtest Yes, I know many of the test locations are a long way away and the core latency will be too high for the game... what you are testing for is the consistency of the latency. If there is too much jitter or packet loss, the game will boot you. Also need to make sure your local network is in line with Bungie's network guide: https://www.bungie.net/en/Support/Troubleshoot?oid=12915
