This is completely random, but is there any way we can have different ghost voices? Male, female, Peter Dinklage again? I really dislike Nolan norths version.. no offense to him.

Also bring back Cayde, that way Nolan can keep his job and we can get back the best NPC in destiny.
-
Agreed, but I wouldn’t mind if it was either Nolan or Nathan. Personally Nathan, but Nolan’s voice fit cayde more than our sentient backpack trinket.
-
Exactly. I would rather have Nathan too, but if we could get the old ghost back it would be worth it.
-
This is surprising to find something people actually agree on in the forums lol.
-
Lol! True.
-
Bring back Dinklebot!
-
I hate how comical the ghost makes scenarios, it’s immersion breaking and just ruins the atmosphere for me
-
Exactly.
-
Bungie couldn't afford Peter Dinklage.
-
People HATED Peter Dinkledge voice acting, nothing against him but it was obvious he hated it too or just did not care, that's why he got replaced by Nolan who always gives %100
-
Our ghost is a robot. The fact that he sounds like this proves that he didn’t read the laws of robotics meaning dinklebot was better.

Edited by ExiIelegend: 10/24/2019 9:42:22 PMThank you someone gets why Peter was actually better in almost every way. His voices baritone and the fact of there being almost no emotion was what made it immersive. Nolan being cheery happy all the time.. dude just give me the handler from monster hunter world at this point.
-
Agreed
-
I know, but still Nolan just doesn’t ever land any line for me and makes me far more annoyed with my ghost than anything in the game. Legit, I would shoot my ghost if I could from every high pitch overtly emotional line he says.
-
So you guys must really hate all the robots in borderlands 3 then?
-
Edited by ExiIelegend: 10/25/2019 4:31:09 PMI guess the difference is that destiny tries to be super serious all the time with very few light hearted moments. Borderlands isn’t a serious game it’s fun it’s wacky, but yes some of the robots get a little annoying, but don’t break the immersion. It’s the tone difference, and having a claptrap pitched voice for a robot in a world that’s trying to survive every day with impending doom looming on the horizon. It just breaks every bit of immersion for me and makes me super annoyed. When you’re in a world where you’ve got shirtless men and women screaming about poop, baby steaks, and other random crap I can say that a robot with a high pitched voice fits in there. Especially when you have characters like Zavala, Eris, ikora, and ada. All of them it’s super serious tone 200% of the time, and the one comedic light of them all has been killed off.

Edited by Kraiondeecenuttes: 10/25/2019 8:02:17 PMWell the problem with that is: 1: Every ghost cannonically has different voices and personalities, they just don't ever bother putting them in the game 2: They're more of AI like Cortana And 3: No one knows how the Traveller works only that it is sentient also the actual robots like the postmaster or you know THE EXO RACE (Which Cayde is one of) have personalities so that argument has zero logic.
-
The exos are programmed to have that when transferring consciousness between human beings and their new robotic bodies. While yes they do have personalities and voices, my only argument is why did we have to get one of the most annoying ones? Hell I’d pay for sagira to be my ghost permanently while Osiris has a full blown circle jerk with his copies in the forest. Either way the point being is that our ghost specifically just doesn’t cut the immersion for me. While when playing with sagira as our ghost, it felt nice kinda like having a buddy you’ve known since you were kids kinda feeing.
