You literally can’t mathematically reach 960 base with the current system by the end of the season, it’s like nobody at Bungie does math, ever. I would be okay with each Pinnacle drop dropping at +2 of your base, AND increasing the sources by maybe five more each week, but since the “hardcore raiders” are going to lose their minds over this then I’m fine with one or the other, either way something needs to be fixed. EDIT: Here’s some suggestions the community and comments are throwing around: •Valor/Infamy Rank Resets should always reward pinnacles. •Exotic World Drops should always reward pinnacle gear. •Perhaps make a legacy raid reward pinnacle, and rotate it weekly, from Leviathan to Crown of Sorrow
