I went to fish my play of the game from last season out for Iron Banner, and I found out that the masterwork and shader were removed from it. At first I thought I misremembered masterworking it, but it still has the crucible kill counter (that is still functioning). Not really sure what to do, it's not the most important thing to me that it lost the masterwork, but it does suck if I have to spend resources to get it back to where it was.
