Bungie over nerfs stuff
Just for the record I do believe in "balance" , but after 5 years of consistently playing this game I've come to accept that Bungie has a track record with nerfing things into the ground.
It usually goes like this.
" we here at Bungie want to create an environment where powers enhance the players abilities to feel blah blah powerful, so we will be buffing said subclass."
Next season rolls out.
" we here at Bungie now realize something is too strong so we will be taking appropriate steps to balance AKA nerf something into the ground".
At which point does Bungie really notice these changes affect the quality of the game??
When said depressed streamer makes a video on it , or when enough people cry nerf and cozmo comes in here asking for feedback?
Why does Bungie tend to go such polarizing extremes to balance the game?
Is it perhaps to appease a group or simply to get people to keep playing their game.
One thing is clear to me.
They do not know how to balance this game.

yea and hunters are always meta. nerf titans and warlocks but make sure the hunters are always meta otherwise all the hunters will ask for titans and warlocks to be nerfed

1 ReplyTruth is pve and pvp are cancelling each other out and they always will while they share the same sandbox they need to have there own separate core balance with there own separate weapons/armour/subclasses this way they can flourish without being a detriment to one another there is a really stupid pendulum swing that has been happening since D1 and it don’t work but it’s even more worse when bungie design weapons and armour with only one mode in mind because it can have disastrous effects

Enjoy stompies and your blink exotic while they currently aren’t complained that much on the forums. Going to have to adapt to losing YOUR best exotics as well, just like titans. Gotta love how bungie is absolutely going to war against ALL overused exotics. You know fully well it’s only a matter of time. Hehehe...

1 ReplyThe more they nerf, seems the more you play. Harder to reach your pinnacle, the endless grind Is prolonged. They can reskin most of the new games, or just get so Lazy just bring back d1 maps. Looks like their idea of a balanced game is to make you play Their game not yours.

2 RepliesBungies method is: Nerf it into Oblivion to stop people from using it. Slowly build it back up to where it's useable but overshadowed by something else (new meta example: luna's getting nerfed so everyone started using ace) Nerf the new meta into Oblivion. Rinse and repeat.

Creed Bratton must be their QA guy. Whatever team they have testing stuff out before its released is obviously incompetent. That’s why the players pay for it in the end. Terrible business model.

Its often broken overpowered or broken useless, like is it hard nerfing S tier so its A tier? I dont think so. But in Destiny 2 when something that is S tier get nerfed, it would be D tier after, what is just a joke of a balance. Sleeper was S tier weapon, now its worthless, good job to balance the game that way, especially very rewarding for people who grinded the shit out to get Sleeper.

I have played a little game called "path of exile" for a while before recently getting into d2. Nerfs of the caliber I've seen in destiny really dont impress me anymore.

Bungo needs to actually think and test their releases. they do not currently and it causes MASSIVE problems.... Dedicated Servers would also be very BENEFICIAL with the recent hackers as well.........

Considering that damage registers differently across different modes and they could shut down Telesto, is there any reason they couldn’t make things function differently in PvP and PvE instead of nerfing them across the board? Taking away Titan’s healing on Super kills in PvE and doing the same for Warlock’s Daybreak kill extension makes zero sense, they were fine in PvE. They did what Supers were meant to do there.

while you are correct here is the reason for it. Bungie actually sometimes doesn't overnerf things.....Those things simply continue to be abused as if nothing ever changed. If you want players in this game to leave a set of crutches you can't adjust them you have to kick them out from under them and immediately burn them. Case for my statement.....One Eye Mask. Adjusted.....meant nothing. Just wait I am guessing next season...It hits the vault forever.

9 RepliesFor the PvE aspect of the game I believe things shouldn't be nerfed. I really do like being Overpowered and I really do like constantly destroying stuff with my Supers and abilities. Take those away (nerf them into the ground) and all we have left is gun fights in pve where enemies can just fire an unlimited amount. Where as I have to hide and reload.
