So played 4 games of Iron banner today and after sitting out for 5 hours to get things done around the house I get back in to play with my son and I'm greeted with Not So Fast I've been banned.... Now I see since October 3rd there has been several people that the same has happened and issues were deemed mistakes/bugs..... Either a reason or fix it what do you think Bungie...... By the way the only software that is running when this game is on is MSI Afterburner and Microsoft Windows Defender.........

Your account was banned on Oct 17th when we detected your account had repeatedly inspected and/or modified the process memory of the Destiny 2 client at runtime. Per our Bans and Restrictions Policies Page:
Bungie regards some behavior to be in breach of the license agreement that governs Destiny, and therefore potentially subject to access restrictions or bans. This behavior includes, but is not limited to: * Connecting to the Destiny game service with any of the following: -- Modified game software -- Modified game assets -- Modified console hardware -- Modified console firmware -- Modified operating system files including emulators and virtual machines * Using an external program to modify or analyze the operation of the Destiny game software, such as: -- Trainers, mods, cheats, aimbots, or autofire. -- User mode or kernel debuggers -- Graphics hacks -- Sending malicious network traffic to Destiny servers or other Destiny players
The data leading to your ban has been reviewed and your ban will be upheld. Game over

There have been no recent mistakes/bugs with bans....except for what players thought themselves, but Bungie has proven them wrong time & time again. NEVER believe something someone says who’s been banned.

Typically, pc bans are due to software detected by Destiny 2 while running. These include but not limited to, trainers, aimbots, auto-fire, mods, graphics hacks, anything that injects code into games, debuggers for programing, even some viruses. any of these could cause a ban, even if not destiny 2 specific. There have been no recent overturned bans. Neither, MSI nor Windows Defender will cause a ban. Restrictions are temporary, and will not be overturned or undone before they expire. Once an account is banned however, that ban is permanent. Account restrictions and bans are only done in extreme cases; if actions were taken against your account, then it was with reason. There are NO options to dispute or overturn account restrictions or bans. Bans are lifetime for that account https://twitter.com/Bungie/status/1179836392953675776 <- Most recent info https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/11929 https://www.bungie.net/en/Explore/Detail/News/47715 *I am not a Bungie representative, just a player trying to give the answers that are available.
