Unpopular opinion ?
I personally am really enjoying all of the new and re used content. The raid is fairly easy but the mechanics are incredibly fun to use ( especially the tether mechanic). Also the vex invasions are a nice change of pace being able to grind out certain weapons and armor to get different rolls . Overall I think shadowkeep is easily worth the money and the season isnt even over with ! Were still getting new exotic quests, a changing tower and a developing story to go along with it. Just felt like posting this because i have seen a lot of negativity toward the expansion and some of it is warranted, but some of it is ridiculous especially when people are complaining and were only on week 3 . I do believe Bungie could be doing a bit more but i believe we will see this in the near future.

2 RepliesShadowkeep is fun and it's not an unpopular opinion, i think that everyone agree it's fun content to go through and enjoy but it's just people expect more from an xpac that cost nearly as much as Forsaken yet doesn't have as much content. I'm not really going to count gameplay changes since they are mainly QoL changes to lessen some of the issue that plague the game since it's release. Shadowkeep only bring us 1 raid, 2 activities that are a re-skin of already existing activities, 1 small area that try to copy the Dreaming City on a smaller scale, a very short story and a season pass to add on top. Compared to Forsaken which came with 2 large zones, 1 raid, 1 raid dungeon, 2 new activity (Gambit / Well) and a more defined story, this is kind of a shock when Shadowkeep cost as much yet doesn't have much. Maybe it'll change over the course of the current season but it's hard to not think at times that you essentially paid for a 15$ dlc that feel more like Warmind with the addition of a 10$ season pass.

Well theres no accounting for taste. Bungie is banking on people enjoying their low effort development. So by all means enjoy.

It's not that we don't enjoy it... It's that everything is so... Diet. Diet gear sets. Diet Menagerie. Diet Raid mechanics. Diet content drops... It's just... Alright. Not Bungies worst expansion, but certainly not near the best.

1 ReplyHonestly, I think only the hardcore of the hardcore are complaining. The people who have the time to grind and play insane hours day in a day out. The ones who literally have everything, all guns and armor across all characters. To them, I can see how this isn't enough, but for someone like me, it is overwhelming. It takes me all week to get through all the different vendors, getting their powerful engram and doing their weeklies. How people get this done in a day or two, have a little too much free time on their hands and need to chill for crying out loud. It takes months and years to make these games and people blow through them in a day and then complain.

2 RepliesI like returning content myself. I’d love all the old locations, raids, exotics, and hell, even legendaries from d1 to come back. Especially the Speaker items, Venus, Invective, and Icebreaker. I was so happy Xur had Telesto when I checked because I’ve been desperate to get my hands on it since it was my favorite fusion in d1. It still is in d2. Telesto is besto!

It's okay to like it as it is very nostalgic to a D1 player like me, I remember the first class I chose being a hunter to only be immediately be replaced by my god warlock. fun fact there is a little event you could do that is similar to killing the three worm princes in the hellmouth. I love things like that and it's what got me hooked into the game as a kid knowing that there even little events I could do in suburban areas of the map. It's mind boggling to see us go from using absolute unit weapons like sleeper, black spindle, and fatebringer to Mountaintop, izanagi's/whisper, and recluse you know?

On the forms it might be a unpopular opinion, because this is where all the trolls hang out. But it definitely is not the unpopular opinion. All the people who love the game are playing it

Definitely not unpopular, I know a ton of people who'd agree. People on these forums just come on here to complain 99% of the time so that's all you see. This is referred to as the "silent majority" under which the people that are happy, the majority, simply have no reason to come to the forums at all and just keep enjoying play.

I agree... and with new light players entering the game and purchasing shadowkeep, it allows them to face omnigul or phogoth and get a feeling of the games past. Or was that just me and what i got out of it?

My clan and I were burnt out on Destiny Forsaken. I was the last one to hit the lights- I could not bring myself to quit my clan. I helped made it. But without active team members I could not do anything. Now we are together again! And we're trailblazing across the system. We are enthralled with the content and hope it keeps up!

Shadow keep would of been fine as a normal dlc but as the big end of year update it falls short of everything, there is hardly any content in this update, a dungeon and 2 exotic quests being drip feed over 60 odd days is far to bare bones for this sorta update.

Endgame for me at this point is farming master nightfalls for void stompees, enhanced mods, and all the other stuff you can get. Im 962 and I would grind pinnacle drops more but theres really not much point, the only activities past 950 are 980 nightfalls and the nightmare hunts next week and those are perfectly doable at 960. Being still-underlevelled-but-slightly-less for those activities is not worth the time you have to put in to get every pinnacle drop on every character. The best thing about shadowkeep is the raid which is my favourite in destiny history but it’s kind of ruined by the drops being bugged which really sucks. .

5 Repliesi just think the problem with drip feeding content over time is that right now the dlc isn’t even worth $30. I feel that in the future they should include more of the content at launch with less dropping over time
