Reading over some of the replies and I'm talking going back a few pages as well, it is comical on how many people, um putting it in lighter terms, are lost 🤦‍♂️ It's no wonder so many posts on this forum trend and it's not even post you really want to tren. There are so many replies on just this post alone that are comical and some of you wonder why I play on here at times 😂 Seriously, I'll just give you a few... Top one being, "you just want things handed to you" "If you don't want to play then don't" "You don't have to complete the bounty" "Probably not the game for you" I mean I can make a huge list off of these "replies" that literally had nothing to do with what they OP is talking about. How hard is it to comprehend what's being said here? Wait! I guess really hard for some.

A lot of people are giving you crap, but I gotta say I wholeheartedly agree. To give context, take for example the Randy's Throwing Knife quest, grind city, also a super fun gun, but nevertheless yes I absolutely expect to need to grind crucible with scout rifles to obtain it and I am completely okay with that. First step is indeed a boat-load of scout rifle kills. Oh well, I want this gun so I'll happily slap on Jade Rabbit and prove that I can handle a scout rifle. I can hop in crucible and grind out those kills in chunks when I'm in the mood for using a scout-rifle. Things like this are a non-issue. Now to contrast, my experience with Iron Banner arriving this week: Woo-hoo I can't wait to play crucible and earn some stuff that I don't have a chance to get every day! Crucible is my favorite thing to do in Destiny 2 after all. Farm some tokens and turn them in... check! Oh wait I have to finish the weekly quest first to unlock engrams this time around? No biggie. Oh wait, I have to play with a Pulse Rifle? I wasn't planning on it but alright let me get the Bygones out of my vault. Man those new close-range combat focused maps totally sucked to use Bygones on... glad that's over. Okay now I have to play with fusion rifles... I really wasn't feeling Jotunn tonight but sure, whatever, easy kills. Okay now SMGs... back to my Randy's/Recluse combo... sweet! That's why I logged on tonight after all. Ah, now grenade launchers (which is bugged, btw), guess I'll be cheap and swap Randy's for Mountaintop. Whew, finally done. God I was really looking forward to running around with Randy's all night but its already 11 o'clock and I have work in the morning. Guess I'll turn in these engrams and get a hang for Randy's tomorrow after work. That was pretty meh, I wonder why Bungie did that. These are the design decisions I take issue with. I understand Bungie wants to push variety in all areas of the game, but its important to focus on the ever-present primary goal of creating fun experiences for players. Nobody that goes out of their way to make a little time in their lives to play Destiny 2 wants to feel like they're having their time disrespected by being forced to play the game in a way that they would otherwise choose not to. Especially when its just to be able to participate in an activity. Force people to grind content to unlock special rewards, force people to play the objectives in the activities they choose to partake in, force people to show their committment to a certain type of weapon for pinnacle-type weapons, that's all fine with me. But don't force people to play the game in a way that they don't enjoy just to take part in a regular activity and obtain regular, basic rewards and progress. It just isn't fun. I normally grind the hell out of Iron Banner but that experience last night left such a sour taste in my mouth. Just my two...or maybe three cents. Edit: readability

Git Gud. Fusion rifles already the no skill way for casual. Guess witha loadout like this you are probably dead weight. Especially in raid teams and your whole childish attitude. Guess what tho kiddo, not everything is for everyone,if you want the armor do what it must be done or accept that you won't progress on the banner quest and suck it up. That's how it is.

Bungie: We want you to be able to play your way. Also Bungie: Use this weapon for this. Use that weapon for that. Get these elemental kills for this. Get those elemental kills for that. Get these ability kills for this. Get those ability kills for that. This only comes from this. That only comes from that. This only works this. That only works for that. Obviously no one HAS to do anything so all you “technicality police” people don’t need to say that. This is known. You’re COMPLETELY missing the point. This is a near suffocatingly rigid game model. Progression and loot acquisition is SEVERELY hindered by not doing what is basically playing and using everything in a CLASS based game with quite a lot of character options and weapon types. Players are essentially penalized for not liking what equates to several vastly different genres and play styles. If this is to be “more RPG” as they’ve implied, they need to let people play their roles instead of playing all roles. Again, it’s unreasonable and impractical. Always has been. Always will be. The expectation can’t be that everyone play and like everything or miss out or hinder their ability to progress. That’s a TERRIBLE mentality. This game essentially encompasses several vastly different genres so that effectively doesn’t work and is a detriment to the fun factor of the game. The more options people have the better. This is entertainment. Not work or chores. I’m not learning a life lesson. I’m playing for fun.

Sounds like MMOs aren’t your game and neither are shooters Don’t like feeling “forced” to play in particular way then don’t play.
