All Armor Should be an Ornament Once Unlocked Makes more Sense
Bungie i appreciate the universal ornaments but if i really want to deck out my guardian to rock full armor sets of past activities i have done then just make all armor universal ornament once unlocked

If you're at 960 theres exactly 0 replayability atm and no reason to do older content. If all farmable armour sets could also be transmogs ofc you'll spend hours to farm all the old sets to get all the transmog only to look great. SO how exactly would old armor set transmogs kill the replayability when its quite opposite? (BCs with farming skins as endgame you have more to do beside weekly Raid and 100k Nightfall)

Edited by Bolthead: 10/19/2019 10:45:18 AMI see a lot of people saying that it would be a problem for replayabilty and farming armour, I understand where they're coming from but I would have to disagree. The incentive to play should come from the activity being fun, not the armour farming. Say older content gets removed or players lose interest, having the ability to transmog to these sets is nice and allows players to show that they've been around since/completed said content. The solution I have in mind would be, high end activites like raids will drop with a higher overall stat roll than obtainable through other content. Not crazy enough to the point it's necessary, but there for the players that like to min/max their gear. Another alternative would be to have an extra level similar to what the season pass does. For example, you either have some easy content level x armour transmogged to look like raid gear, or you farm raid gear and get the roll you like but instead its level x + 1 allowing for a slightly higher mod limit. Obviously just my opinion though, but I do hope to see all armour available as transmogs eventually, personally I play content for fun and to hang out with friends, and not so much the farming. It would be nice being able to look cool and be powerful, even when my friends aren't around and able to run raids.

They should add a vendor that lets you convert armor into ornaments for a lil glimmer

I agree! I worked to cop every last piece of the Iron Banner armor of Season 7, and I love their look. I don't need to have a whole armor 2.0 set of them. I just want the look. It's a small ask. It shows the player earned the item by doing the grind, and that they carry forward the look adaptively across all future armor 2.0 they wear. MAKE IT HAPPEN BUNGIE

But then where's the incentive to buy the overpriced eververse armors? Oh wait, the only armor I want is off of the eververse because I was taking a break when it was available and there's no way for me to know if it will ever come back. Thanks Bungie.

Agreed. Once you earn armor you should be able to wear it however you want.

2 RepliesThis is how Assassins Creed Odyssey worked. You could make your currently equipped armor look like any other previously acquired piece.

100% agree, if we have gotten the armor drop the appearance should unlock, destiny needs a full transmog system not just eververse items. There are so many armor sets in the game right now that no one uses. Having a full transmog system would not stop the player from still having to grind that perfect stat roll.

I just want to be able to obtain old ornaments again. I have some of the Vanguard and Crucible ornaments but not all.

We should be able to change appearance of our armor to whatever we have unlocked before. I really like some of the armors that drop from world activities but I can’t use them because I’m losing armor stats. If you want to make people play old activities, at least let us get a one time use ornament by dismantling a 2.0 version of that armor.

41 RepliesNo. This would invalidate a big part of the replayability of Pinnacle content. Go into the raid a couple times until RNG favors you and gives you a full set of armor, then just farm a low difficulty high reward activity like Tier 1 Reckoning or Vex Offensive until you Get the best possible armor stat rolls. Apply raid armor ornament, and boom. You have an optimized set of raid armor with 2-3 raid clears. Never have to touch any raid every again, except for Weapons.

I'd have settled for several sets, each with their own ornaments. Vanguard - All D2 vanguard armour set ornaments Crucible - All D2 crucible armour set ornaments Inc trials and IB Destination - All D2 destination armour set ornaments Activities/ Endgame - ie gambit, raids, EP, menagerie Eververse/seasonal - all the eververse set ornaments.

I wouldn’t mind if all previously claimed armor ornaments were universal ornaments from IB, factions, and Trials.

I’m trying to figure out why the remembrance, fellowship and symmachy sets aren’t available as ornaments? They’re armour 1.0, sure they have random rolls but the stats after 2.0 launched are garbage so I can’t use some of my favourite gear? Even for the new iron banner armour I just got? Would love an explanation on why tbh
