Oh yay a water level! Let’s hope there are little animated air bubbles that we can use to breathe.
*I dive right into the wave, putting my helmet on and activating a setting to make it work like an oxygen mask, before drawing my sword to bring some radiant light into the field so I can see. I then start to look stout , looking for anything that can be the source of the wave, or for you.*

*gonna respond up here if you dont mind* "The sea will fix itself. Maybe bigger magic would fix it faster? Dunno. I dunno what the runes is for, she taught our shaman that and we just guard her...I kinda stayed behind to loot the buildings though. Also dunno where the witch is at. We anchored off shore after following the wave. Shes gonna meet us there. Now about that gold?"
-
*I point the sword, while reaching for a pouch of gold.* “Not so fast. Is your shaman still where you docked? Or is he somewhere else?”
-
"We had one more site to mark then was gonna regroup on the ships."
-
“Ok then, last question, where is this site?”
-
"Down the street, but they'll have finished it by now. So pay up!"
-
*I throw the sack of coins towards her* Now if I see you looting from any civilian, or killing any of them, you will loose that purse, as well as your head.
19 for intimidation.
*I start to swim to the ship, where the sea elf’s are meeting, to see if I can beat them to it before they all return, while looking to see if anyone needs my help on the way.*
-
"Sure sure!" Shes too distracted by the sack of shines to hear you. She swims off in the opposite direction.
I'm gonna be wrapping this up soon with a pinned comment showing a scene on a ship if you wanna pop onboarding afterwardsand confront me!
-
*I keep swimming, thinking of tales like Perseus and the sea monster, and Gilgamesh and the bull of the heavens, just to remind me of the fact that I am up against almost unstoppable odds, last time I fought a horseman it was toaster and I got destroyed utterly, so I need to be on the top of my game.*
That works for me. I have to go very soon so if we do have that confrontation we could have it in PMs, or I could to it tomorrow, whatever works best for you, I just have limited time right now.
Cool cool, just one loose plot thread still up.
-
That’s fine with me then, Give me a head up when ready, I’ll just wait until then. *I start singing sea shanty’s in dragonic while i swim. It is still quite a slow process, especially in plate mail.*
-
It is done!
-
Alright! Time to get my d20s out.
-
Hi fellow deputy, wazzzzzzaaaah -w-
-
Can you ask nil if she can talk with me I think she muted and blocked me.
-
Neat! Visibility is poor, but you make out a few humanoid shapes swimming away from the corner of a building.
-
*I swim towards them, making Excalibur glow with radiant light to brighten the area. I also prepare a small golden sheath at my side.*
-
They appear to have swam well out of sight. Your light illuminates the area they were in and you notice they were carving strange runes into the walls of the building.
-
Interesting. *I investigate the runes closer, to see if they are like anything I’ve seen before from you.*
-
They are! Do you have dice? Otherwise I can make rolls like I've been doing.
-
I have dice, want me to use my character sheet as well? Just tell me the type of checks to make.
-
It'd be an Arcana check!
-
Just what i thought. Give me a sec...yikes, 14. It could be worse.
-
From previous experience with Nil, you know it is for some form of ritual. You cannot discern it's full purpose but you get the sense it is part of a larger set.
-
*I do something stupid and try striking it with the sword to see if it would do anything, maybe separate these from whatever bigger ritual you have.*
-
Your sword clangs against the stone! *hmm, another Arcana check?*
