All Exotic armor 2.0 comes with one elemental attribute which is dictate us which weapon we should use with it.
That problem feels worse with helmets and legs.
Not good.

Exotic armor shouldn’t have affinity

Edited by SHOCKWAVE 134: 10/14/2019 1:26:50 AMDatto and I fervently disagree. The game is too easy at the moment. Hopefully this is a way to discourage the hordes of casuals clogging up the game. Sometimes I just sit at the back of the map watching the casuals in PVP, Patrol and Strikes thru my sniper scope as they bumble around like children. I’ve made a list consisting of hundreds of gamer tags to block and report.
-
helll no if they do that i want them to show you cry babies what a ramor nerf is
-
I'd rather the elemental affinity go away entirely
-
I can agree with this, make em seem more exotic
-
I totally agree, not being able to snipe with dunemarchers is sad
-
Or bring back glass needles.

It's kind of funny that Bungie simplified (dumbed down) everything in D2 at launch because they assumed people were too stupid to enjoy complex gaming. It nearly destroyed the franchise because dedicated Destiny players like complex systems. And here you people are complaining in week 2, and by the complaints you register you show you don't understand the system at all. This system is infinitely superior to the Y2 system. So what if it takes more than 2 weeks to get the shit you want? The collective IQ of the posts on this forum don't speak well for the posters.
-
No, make all armor element free.
-
Do the devs actually read and care about the feedback given here?
-
More so exotic armor needs to allow the same ornaments as other armor. Sure we can get a few additional ornaments if they exist for that exotic but in some cases they are F*N ugly.
-
That's too smart for Bungie.
-
It’s a form of balance. Can’t have players too op
-
Edited by Isinit: 10/14/2019 6:40:42 PMIt really is incredibly stupid. How long is it gonna take me to get void transversive steps so I can run sniper scav??? Bungie keep saying they want us to play how we want to play with whatever gear we want to use and they introduce this sh1te!!!🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️

The 2.0 system is utter gar bage, I had to equip a 49 stat armor instead of an 56 stat one just to use a fusion rifle, if I need to use shotgun I need to go chose another armor piece, why are ppl praisi g this system, it literally dictates what weapons u can use, it's so bad omg
-
it should be removed for all armor. i’m tired of having to wait sixty years for some mod to come by, but then it’s for a helmet with worse stats than what i have equipped.
-
Edited by DeathPony07: 10/14/2019 6:30:46 PMMake all armor elemental free, and reduce the cost of masterworking by 100%. Or just go back to the old system and give us more mod slots. Armor 2.0 is garbage. They made ability cooldowns slow af again for no reason, and it's stupid. I should easily be able to have 100 Intellect and 100 Discipline on an armor set, just like I could in D1.
-
Also exotic weapons should now have mod slots given our relic mods effects bows, assault rifles, and hand cannons
-
the easier answer is allow weapons to drop with a random element.
-
That or just make the element a mod.
-
Why stop at exotics? How about all elements need to go away? The energy affinity is the dumbest thing bungie ever added, its actually worse than enhancement cores. All armors already require players to grind for specific stats and thats a huge RNG as it is, elemental affinity only makes it worse.
-
Top shout. It’s not the end of the world having perks specific to elements but exotics should be immune to this for sure!
-
Anything that decreases the grind they will not due. They hate the community wanting to actually be able to use what they spent months to grind for.
-
I don't mind the elemental restrictions on legendary gear, and hear me out before you automatically downvote. I said "legendary" gear. Legendary gear can usually be farmed fairly consistantly, while exotics are on the other end of the spectrum entirely. Exotics have a what, .000001% chance of dropping? On top of that, you then have to hope it's the item you want and then hope that it has the stats that you need, and then hope it's the element you need. The odds of getting the exotic armor you want with the perks and elemental attribute you need are so minimal it's basically non existant and therefore, not worth wasting time even thinking about when planning my builds unless I'm willing to settle with an imperfect build. On top of that, the only exotic armor drops (two or three) I've seen since SK launched did not have the mod slot for nightmare mods which means that I'd be at a disadvantage (though not much) in nightmare activities if I wore that armor.
-
Higher difficulty ordeal rightfalls have exotics as a common drop. problem partially solved.
-
Armor 2.0 is a disaster. Period.
