Matchmaking Heroic Menagerie
Please Bungie, add matchmaking into heroic menagerie, if you have not already, it is impossible to now reap the rewards of it. Unless you have 5 good friends who don't mind doing it, which many of us lack, it is impossible.
To those who say "Just use an LFG though.", You cant. Little to no people actually go onto LFG's looking for a group for heroic menagerie. It would be incredibly hard to find a single person to do it, let alone another 4.
To those who say "But that would ruin triumphs such as doing it with 3 or less people"., there are easy solutions. For one, you could add an option to matchmake, and one not to, for example. Please keep in mind, I am not telling you how to do your job, I am only suggesting possible solutions.
Please add matchmaking. There are so many good rewards that come from Heroic menagerie which so many of us cannot even attempt to reach due to lacking people to play with.

[b]Edit:[/b] There are many possible solutions to having a bunch of blueberry and/or new light players ruining menagerie, such as only allowing people with a fully upgraded chalice into matchmaking as to garuntee that people know what they are doing. There are so many solutions to the problems people are bringing up, just think about it.

push! Currently you can see the matchmaking if you hover over the menagery icon, but i always got loaded alone into the activity after 10 seconds?

The reason why there would be a problem with that is extinguish, the only thing that actually makes it at all hard.

Bump. If they’re going to be calling this game an MMO now, then it be really cool to just add matchmaking to everything. Even all old activities too. What I disliked about some of the Destiny 1 activities were you had to wait for someone to come and join you. It was so lame waiting and waiting and hoping for someone to join in once Destiny 2 was announced. Like Court of Oryx, it just completely dropped off without orbit matchmaking. For sure, keep the way other players come and join randomly patrolling, that is always cool to see people coming to help..but have a matchmaking to keep the activity alive for sure. What they did with the Forges in the current Shadowkeep update was just [b][u]PERFECT[/u][/b]!

If anyone on ps4 still needs to run heroic menagerie me and my clanmates will help. We ran it about a month ago, wouldn't mind helping again

You’re absolutely right. I don’t know why you feel like you have to justify yourself, especially with the triumphs. Don’t pay attention to the hypocrites. Most shadows glitched it. Most Rivensbane glitched it. Most unbroken paid for it. The show continues. Everything should have optional matchmaking. Period. For instance who the hell is going to play the 920 NF when they’re above 920? Especially when nightfalls drop nothing but one enhancement core (i played 15 NF being over leveled, this is statistically significant), to players who are over leveled! You’ll see in two weeks they’ll be asking for MM for higher NF. The fanboys who oppose you must have also missed elementary education, and must have very binary or monochromatic reasonings and brain capacities, especially with non mutually exclusive concepts. They seem like they want you to accept everything about them, but can’t accept you to have any form of freedom. Typical buttholes with opinions.

I thought the same thing about no one wanting to run it. I put up a post last night while cooking dinner expecting it to take 20+ min to pull a full group together- I got a group in 5 min. That said with the light level buff it’s easy and they should just put matchmaking on heroic and remove regular.

An alternative solution would be to have an in game LFG. I’d be 100% matchmaking but you really need people with mics If you plan on getting any of those triumphs.

You are correct. Anyone who disagrees has no clue. if you have a fireteam it makes no difference. If you don't, this at least gives you a chance to try when otherwise there would be none. Lfg websites are awful and utterly dead for all but the most vanilla activities.

Matchmaking would be really nice nice. I normally just go on LFG and either create a "no mic" post or respond to a post that doesn't require coms. People are still posting on LFG for heroic menagerie because of how strong the Izanagi's Burden Catalyst is this season. There aren't as many posts these days, but they are out there. Would be great if I didn't have to comb through them.

1 Replythe option of matchmaking being on/off should always be an option for the player to have imo the main exception is probably raids since guided games pretty much failed in player interest with unknown wait times

Old content should have matchmaking. Right now most of us are edging closer to 950 which makes us over leveled for old content but are locked out of those rewards without a dedicated fire team if we can’t kick up with an lfg that’s doing old content. Most posts I see on the Xbox UI LFG is for new stuff or to help new players level up. Nothing for anything old.

Honestly I would love a matchmaking option in addition to the option that already exists that way everyone has a shot to get the Izanami's Burden catalyst and dedicated teams can still go for triumphs.

100% agree! As the only gamer in my group of friends I pretty much rule out anything without matchmaking on destiny. Such a shame as I love the game but can’t play some of the big missions to progress

Yeah I need that Izanagi’s catalyst. I’ve never done heroic menagerie before and all my clan mates are WAY past season of opulence. If I can get some competent people to matchmake menagerie with, then I wouldn’t have to try to LFG (which is a sh!tshow sometimes)

1 ReplyEvery activity needs OPTIONAL matchmaking, from patrol zones to raids. Everyone should be able to decide whether they want to play solo or with people for every activity.
