Hi y'all,
As a Warlock main, I really like the Cormorant Blade and Intrepid Inquiry sets, but I was either too busy to grind for either or RN-Jesus didn't bless me. I'm not implying the seasonal event armour like Frostreach or Luminal Voyager, as I think these two sets should be treated as event only armour.
Carrying on from kevinrules100's post regarding armour in Collections (link included at the end of post), I feel there should be necessary means to unlock and grind for seasonal armour ornaments.
I REALLY liked how we were able to get the Black Armoury armour as an applied effect, which gave us a chance to get a random piece at the end of a Forge. I imagine this could be applied to the Cormorant Blade and Intrepid Inquiry sets, but it could be a very rare chance for them to drop.
Eververse could offer this effect for Guardians in exchange for Glimmer, Bright Dust or Legendary Shards- or even all of them at once. They could be earned from doing activities such as Nightfalls, Gambit, or maybe doing bounties/quests. This would be in the same vein as Black Armoury offered to players; Faction vendors such as Zavala, Shaxx or Drifter could even offer these for their Faction sets also.

On a side note, as we're not sure if Faction Wars is ever going to make a return, I feel like they should be converted to Universal ornaments- I absolutely loved their designs, and I know a good amount of people felt the same!
The Faction Wars ornaments were based off of already existing armour designs, and a mix of them too. Using Warlock sets as examples again;
- Arach's Chosen Ornaments ---> Wildwood Suit, Heiro Camo and Xenos Vale IV.
- Superior's Vision Ornaments ---> Exodus Down Suit and High Minded Complex Suit.
- Sovereign Lion Ornaments ---> Mainly Philomath Robes, not sure about the bond.
If we were to randomly drop these Year One sets that the ornaments are based off, then surely these Faction Wars ornaments can be applied to them?
I know this post is lengthy, but I feel with what I suggested above could really push the transmog feature in Destiny 2, so far I am loving the feature and I know it has only just launched- but if the universal ornaments are going to be strictly Eververse-based, then I think it would be very limiting in what we can do.
If anyone else could add suggestions or wants to discuss, then please respond to this post!
Thanks!
