I spent ages yesterday trying to find the basic machine gun frame ( the weapon core) still haven't done it as there is no waypoints. I feel like such a noob. I did only return yesterday though from over a year break from the game. Even the shooting feels different. I belong with the public event noobs now. That is my destiny 🤣

The cores are from those crates that are shielded by the drones when a forge saboteur is in the area. Kill the drone guarding the crate and you can loot it.

If you need to find them in the EDZ then check the outskirts, i see them all the time there, ik how it feels though lol, i spent 30 minutes looking for a weapon core in nessus, only to realize i had to jump down a hole lol

Are you talking about the first part? Where you need to go to EDZ and find a black armory cache or whatever. Just look on YouTube there's tons, I just cant think of the name of the location to tell you where to go
