Matchmaking changes to 3v3 Survival and 3v3 Elimination
The dev team has just deployed changes to matchmaking settings for Survival, Freelance: Survival, and Labs: Elimination playlists to address feedback we've been receiving about skill mismatches. We’ll continue to monitor feedback and matchmaking data to improve these systems.

Matchmaking for comp is shit and youre all a bunch of -blam!-ing idiots. This patch -blam!-ed the game 10 ways from sunday. Maybe thats why you should do smaller more frequent updates instead of dicking around thinking of ways to ruin the game. You guys really dont play test anything before you ship it and thats a huge fact. You shouldn't have constant 0-4 games. And then when you do finally win you have to sweat. Hah. Thats what everybody wanted fixed. Yet your fix was "hey lose less win streak and gain more points" i dont understand why you clowns always say "were listening" and then dont. Just a complete joke. Im writing to a dust filled room that never has a population.

Gambit matchmaking as a solo player is horrible. The majority of my games I was matched against a team of 3 and a solo while being with a team of solos. All of those games were complete blowouts. We weren't even competitive. Something is wrong.

Matchmaking is better - I'll say that - but it's still not good. When you get screwed over with the team you match against, you get 4 - 0'd with no chance of a comeback. There is no in between.

I still get them. - Fireteam finder is riddled with account Recovs. Why aren’t these players being banned? - ACTUAL SBMM - while I’d love to take the compliment from you guys claiming I’m 5500 tier material. I’m not. I managed to solo 5000 points three times, while I’m proud of that achievement, I can’t really complain about MM now as I’m on the higher end of the spectrum but starting out at 0 glory points and being thrown into a game facing x1 lag switching asshat and x2 5500 points isn’t my idea of a great start. - Heavy needs needing ASAP - input detection for Kb&M / Modded pads should be installed because I’m sick and tired of going against kids who can’t play the game legitimately. While this will never be an eSports game mode (despite having an MLG tournament) it should be as fair and as competitive as it can be. Fix please

3 RepliesSo Bungie, WTAF is going on with comp points all of a sudden? I'm mid 3000's, and now I'm losing 60 points for a loss, and only gaining 40 for a win? Just went 3/3 W/L and went backwards 60 points. I'd rather the old system than that hot garbage (60/52). I'd even settle for even for win/loss, since at least I don't go backwards for getting 50% W/L ratio. If you want people to pay comp, that isn't the way to go about it. Also, love getting matched with 5500's in the mid 3000's. On the opposite team. With guys at 1500 on my team. Has happened more than once. Great matchmaking...

Cozmo You make some valid points and i agree that eververse must be removed from this game but, Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

3 RepliesI don't know what you guys have done. I'm not a legendary player, I always get crushed or Lord Zakxx call it mercy (This is in normal PVP). In competitive, I always get a stacked team on the other side. I just need to have fun, but dunno how you guys match make LOL.

My first match of comp we won easily, 4-0. Very next match at 80 glory, got put up against 3 people at 5500 using not forgotten and dust rocks, who were obviously way above my skill level. While I appreciate the confidence your matchmaking system has in me bc I had one good game, I don't feel like playing against those caliber of players at 80 glory. Is it possible to beat them? Yes. But I don't think it's fair for that low of a rank to go up against the highest possible after one match.

One of the main problems I'm having is that one match I'll carry hard and the next match (since your sbmm "updates every 5 minutes) I get out into a game based on how well other players did equal to my game...the problem here is that's not taking account of who we were matched against. If I go against a shit player and hit 5k damage and a efficiency of 12.0 and so does the other guy though he faced a top tier player and got those stats...while we equaled in skill he is obviously a much better player as he scored that skill on a much better player. They need to incorporate your score vs your opponents suspected skill in order to match you up with another team/enemy or else their sbmm just fails.
