Considering clash is the basic pvp intro game mode in literally every FPS, yes clash should be permanent. Why bungie selected control as the intro game mode is beyond me.

Control has been the default for bungie since the d1 beta. I dont mind it I guess, but I definatly understand why people would want clash over it. And like another reply already stated, people play control like its clash anyway (and then proceed to lose the game for not playing the objective)

It really doesn't matter - everyone plays Control as if it's a misspelling of Clash.
