So I have been playing Destiny 2 since launch on Xbox, and I started playing on PC when Forsaken came out and I've pretty solidly played since then with a month or two of breaks. In all of my time playing on the Battle.net launcher, I crashed once. I had crashed to desktop without any error and it was very shocking because it had never crashed, and after that it didn't again. Come two months later to today, I uninstalled the game and preloaded it on steam, having to uninstall and reinstall it after launch due to a steam issue.
So here's my issue: I keep crashing every 10-20 minutes of gameplay, only at loading areas. I've crashed loading after missions into the social area of the moon, I've crashed loading Eris Mourn's inventory to collect missions, I've crashed fast traveling, and I've crashed loading new areas while free roaming. It is getting to the point that the game is almost unplayable, my fastest crash being one minute after loading into Sanctuary while playing the tire game (my most recent crash). I am above the recommended requirements, I've launched the game in Administrator Mode, I've lowered my graphics even though I've played on max settings the entire time I've played PC with no frame loss. I don't know what to do at this point and it's only happened since this game launched on steam so I'm assuming it's something to do with that. The devs are working hard and switching an entire platform isn't an easy accomplishment so I've expected bugs and some crashes but this is kinda ridiculous. Any help would be appreciated.
